Barricading Strategy!

Seems to work!!
As I play aliens a lot these days, I start encountering some comm using this strategy! dropping some barricades that cost 10 res and last for a long enough time to make it worthwhile.
U may have guessed the it. The barricade is basically a cc!
1.
It's tall. Onos can't jump over it, can't walk pass the gap between 2 cc. U can sometimes jump pass the gap between 2 cc but even u can, u are significantly slowed down! It can even obstruct fades movement to a certain extent.
In places with low head room or narrow corridor. There is just no escape for an ono. U can be completely blocked up in a small room then be filled with lead. Drop a barricade, gg ono.
2.
It's strong! It has very high hp. Even onos are not going to kill a cc in any time short. With even just 1 rine around, there is no way to kill the cc before it completes recycling(hence 10 res not 20) cos he will be pumping u with lead! Think of it, a pack of mine is also 10res, but it can't really help u at all/that much against ono and fade. With the barricades, now the rines can build their tf then siege behind and kill ur hive!!!!!!
It's possible u can get pass the barricade and kill a rine but u are not likely to escape alive.
I just encountered this strategy today on ayumi I think with both teams holding half of the rts. I was wondering how the rine got the res to pump ha/hmg trains and still drop ccs, tfs siege. They managed to do it anyways.
I didn't get killed as ono so many times just because the comm was a bit slow at blocking(ran out of the way before he built the last cc) and the has bit noob(I ate them 1 by 1 even they have the barriades).
Has anyone seen this work not because of the aliens are too noob?(letting rines have all the res)
Do u think it's a valid/solid strategy?

But keep in mind that you will be putting your team in a hard situation thus being only 1 exit to get out of, and the time it takes to recycle, and by not building the comm chair you get full res back after recycle.

so they are considered cheap and forbiddened in leagues/tournaments, too?
not restricted in match's..not illegal move.

Onos are such bullet magnets. With like 2 hmgs around, u can tear an ono into threads in no time. Placing like 2 ccs in narrow corridors can usually be a guaranteed kill. Slowing down the ono for even just 1 sec can mean dead or alive!
Just like medspamming IMO - a completely viable tactic.
that was so FU%#&*~ GA%
Not acknolwedging this tatic just becomes scrub tbh
Is it legal on most servers? no
Does it make the commander look like a newbie? yes
Is it usually annoying for aliens? yes
It may be a tactic, but it is a very annoying tactic. It's like making a large DC / OC stacked wall ouside the marine base at the start of a game. I don't think marines like to have those beforethey get siege or upgrade thier weapons...
*Drops 2 TF and CC, and fakes orders to marines to see an alien rush stop and go to their base*
They start attacking and I recycle.
We saved ourselfs from a rush. Its fair game.
Me:*Relocates base earlier in game*
*Spams CC and TF in Last Room, map is ns_siege005returns*
I see 3 onos, 2 fades when I ping them and they attack EVERY ONE OF THEM
I recycle the damaged enough ones
They didn't even attack the ones blocking their way out. Finnally they did. Its fair game, people just are trigger happy enough to hear that melee hit sound, even on structures
