Hi,

I am having some serious problems with connecting to any server on NS. I dont know what the heck is the problem, all it gives me is this message:

You have been disconnected from the server
Reason: Error Verifying Steam UserID ticket, (Sever was unable to contact the authentication server, 35. or someimes 31 on the end...

Any help would be sweet, thanks guys. Keep up the good work.

I had this problem when I tried to update Steam before a few hours.

When I finished the update, I could not get into the game menu!!!!! So, I closed

    and opened Steam again.

The outcome really surprised me. When I tried to log in,it said that this account

    DOES NOT EXIST! What the...

Then, I tried to create a new account. As I finished all the steps to create a new

account, it said that some errors crushed Steam and could not find to connect

    Steam server. Steam is kind of disgusting stuff! I hate this! <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I'm getting the same auth error. I tried to revalidate my email addy. No idea how long it will take to get my response email

    UPDATE
logging out and back in again seems to fix this
unfortunately now my ping won't drop below 4 figures while playing. Since installing this update steam has been continuously eating bandwith, cpu time and ram. WHAT IS IT DOING? probably something nefarious and evil.

Have some patients, the whole Steam network has been bogged down due to the newest update. To fix the Verifying Steam UserID ticket error just log out and then relog back in. The reason www.steampowered.com was down was also due to the recent update.

    Direct quote from Steampowered.com:

Since this morning's update was released, the Steam network has been overloaded, causing many Steam users to be unable to login.

Until the Steam content servers are able to catch up with demand, some users will continue to experience slowness or unresponsiveness from the Steam client. We've been making some changes to the content servers today to accelerate this recovery, and we expect conditions to improve quite a bit by tomorrow morning.

Thanks, again, for your patience after this update.<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
