Exactly the same as in HL as far as I know.  I don't think Flayra has changed much to do with the physics.

As for the physics, you speed is a little slower as a marine with more advanced (heavier) weapons. A normal marine moves fairly fast, HL style I guess and his physics are the same.

The only difference that comes to mind are the ladders with lerks and marine backpeddling.

When marines walk backwards, they walk pretty slow.

And lerks have the inability to climb ladders, so they don't hit one while flying and bounce off.

Ya, anyways its not that hard getting up that ladder flying =)

Well it used to be a real pain in the but to incounter a 'big stack of ladders' as a lerk, because after zooming down a long hallway going mac3, it really put a damper on your mood to spend 15 seconds slowly crawling up a set of ladders.

OK,  Here is a question/example/story,  if there was a race in Natural Selection between all the aliens who would win?  On foot I mean.  I see it as:
    1st Level1
    2nd Level4
    3rd Level3
    4th Level5
    5th Level2
(Without upgrades or any abilities used)

The Skulk or better known as a Bob is the fastest aliens not counting a flying Lerk (that is more of an ability than movement because of the energy cost).  The Lerk and Fade move roughly at the same speed on the ground (blink makes travel wonderful).  Gorges well don't make that fast.

An Ohnos is hard to place because of its variable speed.  From a sitting postion, it's quite slow but can quickly can reach skulk-like speeds espically if charging.  Interestingly enough with 3 ranks of speed+, the Ohnos automatically moves at its highest speed from a standstill or running.  Charge makes you go even faster (thus that's why marines can't run from me even if they run around in circles).  However all of this is subject to changes.
