Alt-tab + Gamma

If I alt-tab out of NS, to windows and then back to NS, the gamma gets re-set to the windows setting and I can't see a thing. Before the Steam update, I used to hit Esc and then back to the game and that would fix it. Now, I can't seem to be able to get the gamma bright again.


Any suggestions?

Edit: Did a quick test, the problem seems to occur when I'm running MultiRes. If I disable that, hitting Esc works again.. Sigh...I want to play at a higher monitor refresh reate but still be able to tab out.

    turn it off, play the game, turn it back on when your done.

    Can't believe MS is taking so long to fix this.. it's sad!

    60hz IS NOT THAT BAD!

    I use 60HZ b/c my moniter dosn't suport anything higher.

    Yes, it MIGHT give you a headache after a LONG time of staring at it, but unless you have no life(like me) or are a programer/graphical designer it honestly shouldn't matter.

    IF you are worried about it effecting your FPs in game, then turn of VSynch and it won't matter.


    basicaly, you get to chose between three things (b/c there are 3 soloutions to this, your lucky that we can give you that many)

    1) Don't alt tab! (including killing your IM services so nothing steals focus)
    2) Don't play NS and keep your popup causers and the other progie
    3) Play NS And keep your ability to tab, and kill the refresh thingy when you play.


    The only person I know who honestly has a good reason to want his refresh higher then 60hz is my borther, and thats b/c he spends concideribly longer then 9-5 at his job, staring at a comp scrn, coding.
