playing Natural Selection?
I'm really wondering....I turned the standard music off, and I'm going to use HLamp, but I don't know what to play. I don't have any (good) music knowledge yet, any suggestions?

I don't know why, but I like to play "Roll with it" by Oasis while playing NS.

    It's odd, yes I know.

feh, personally I play with the in-game music, and no music once the in-game music goes off... because sounds are such a big advantage in NS and I don't want to drown them out... if you turn the mp3 volume down low enough though, listen to whatever you want =p

or Dire Straights, Brothers in Arms (In particular, Ride across the River and Brothers in Arms). Maybe a little Meatloaf if I really feel like it.

one day when I was DJ'ing (actually, that's bs. The only real DJ's, are the turntablists, who uses the turntable as an instrument) on NSRadio, long ago, I put on some Four Tet (I'm actually pretty sure it was the song, 'parks' - or at least a song from the same album). Little did I know, that several of the people listening were actually ingame, playing NS.

Needless to say, several of the people (parse_error and hellbilly, me thinks) listening to this, came back and told me how wonderfully calming and soothing this was.

And that concludes my essay on why justice kicks arse.

I dont usualy listen to music so that way I can hear all those Oni that try to sneak up on me.

but I remember one time when I had my music player going in the background of NS.

After being on a losing marine team for a good 45 min the commander finaly ordered all of us back to base.

"Ready Steady Go" by Paul Oakenfold started to play. The music built up and HA/HMGs started to rain from the sky.

We marched to the hive and the main part of the song kicked in just we started going into the hive.

Chaos ensued... further amplifed by the music.

I guess some good scary music for slow times and good arse kicking music goes well for those hive assults. I have special buttons on my key board so I can change the song to go wit hthe atmoshpere.

Quake 2 ost. Operation Overlord is a good track to play, even if it's a bit loud.

I use organ music and strafejump according to the rhythm of it. Looks funny, like dancing, and all rines are like "WTH music h4x3d skulk0r!"
So, mainly organ, but also trance and other electronic stuff. Great mixture
