Got any b movie fans around here?

hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you enjoy watching B movies like the ones they have on mst3k. I must admit that one of the main ways I relax is watching a poorly done B movie with bad special effects and bad acting.

The last one I watched was called "Space Muntiny". Just think of it as Star War but, with 1/100000 of the budget. The highlight of it a 2mph bumper car chase scene with cheap laser graphics. I laughed so hard that my throat hurt for 2 days after I saw it. I think that some bad movies are so hilarious that I get as much fun out them as a well done movie.

B movies... gotta love em! I usually call them "random movies" because I just go to the video store, close my eyes, put my finger to the shelf, and whatever movie I'm touching I pick up. I've gotten some pretty interesting ones... to say the least. Yes, I know that this sounds like the epitomy of boredom and I'll just let you know, where I live that's all there is to do. Anyway, onto the good B movies!

"Fantasy Mission Force" ( Old Jackie Chan movie with no comprehensible plot whatsoever. He fights ribbon fighters, japanese, ghosts, and nazis that ride fords with swastikas holding road flares in their hands with hockey masks on... yep.. you read that correctly )

"Full Metal Ninja/Ninja of the Magnificance" ( Two different insanely corny ninja movies, yet they have the exact same actors in the exact same costumes. Any ninja movie where the ninjas wear headbands that say "Nin-Ja" on them is a pure classic! )

"Dead Alive" ( Not sure if this is classified as "B" but, whatever. Has an insane amount of gore IF you can find the uncut version. Some crazy claymation, zombies, gore, and bad acting. Great movie! )

"Evil Dead" ( Greatest low budget movie. Ever. Period. )

There's tons more, if you really want them, go to the video store and randomize your selections like I do. It really is a good time.

got to love B movies since they are so funny. The thing that makes me laugh is that the movies are supposed to be serious, but end up making the audience laugh for minutes.

I've seen evil dead, evil dead 2, and of course, as any self respecting movie goer would see, evil dead 3: Army of Darkness

My favourite movies:

Ridley Scott - Alien (61) , Black Hawk Down
James Cameron - True Lies, Terminator 2, Aliens
Steven Spielberg - Saving Private Ryan (40)
Stanly Kubrik - 2001: A Space Odyssey (54), Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (11)
Quentin Tarantino - Pulp Fiction (19)
Guy Ritchie - ###### (188), Lock, stock and two smoking barrels (198)

The numbers in brackets are the ratings in the top 250 movies of all time at IMDB and their directors.

The best (worst) B-grade movie I ever saw was "Plan 9 From Outer Space". It was rather terrible, the UFOs in it were trashcan lids (I kid you not) and burning paper plates.

There was this feature on every Friday night called "The Graveyard Shift" In which all the really old, bad movies were played. Like "The Toxic Avenger", Tehehehe that movie was crap.

Brain Dead, Zombie Flesh Eaters, Driller Killer, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Clockwork Orange, Night Of The Living Dead 1 thru 57834, the Chucky Films, anythign ever made by Hammer, the original Return Of Frankenstein, Day of the triffids, Invasion of the bodysnatchers.. hmmm need I go on?

I am somewhat of a horror movie fan, and as people don't make many good horror movies these days (exception = 13 Ghosts, watch it now&#33 I kinda rely on old B movies.

I miss sci-fi channel, and Mystery science theater 3,000...and my buddy that used to come over during it to hear me spew out insults to the movie that the actors missed....I remember mocking a police chief saying "Homo-sid-Al Maniac" instead of "Ha-moe-sci-dal".

That was hands-down, THE funniest mst3k I have ever seen. I still have a text list of every name they came up for the 'hero' in that movie on my work computer.

When I first heard that Peter Jackson was gonna make the LoTR trilogy I laugher my arse off. I mean he had only made a couple of splatters that didn´t make much money. But he truly is a great man in the movie industry.

I really mst3k since they always seemed to find terrible movies. Some of the movie were so bad that it hurt to watch them, but in other movies the cheapness made it just as fun to watch as a big budget movie. Also cheap martial arts movies with ninja shooting lasers out of their hands, and jump over castle walls make me laugh too. Another good mst3k is "Puma Man" since it has lame special effects and lots of hilarious fight scenes.

"The Final Sacrifice" has to be my all-time favorite MST3K episode. What other movie features a pencil-thin dork, a drunken oaf, and a live-action version of Yosemite Sam as heroes? Also, since it was made in Canada, we can blame Comprox for it

After finishing a bad B movie with Canadian credits at the the end me, and my friends sing the blane Canada song. The last Canadian B movie I saw was a mst3k called "Overdrawn at the Memory Bank". In is another futuristic B movie with a impossible to follow plot, but lots of laughs to be had.

I guess my list of favorite MST3Ks/B movies is
1. "Samson Vs. the Vampire Women"
2. "Teenagers from Outer Space"
3. "Space Muntiny"
4. "Colossus vs. the Headhunters"
5. "Mitchell"
6. "Plan 9 from Outer Space"
7. "It conquered the world"
8. "The Black Death"
9. "Logan's Run"
10. "Overdrawn at the Memory Bank"

Any one of these movies will probably make your throat hurt since they are as funny as they get especially with the great MST3K comments, but some B movies are so bad you can shout your own insults at them.
