Purchasing A Game!

Which should I go for?
I used to be all about the computer gaming lifestlye: NS, WC3, NWN, etc..., but now I have found a new love. Console gaming, more specifically, Playstation 2.

I'm looking for a PS2 game that has ports for 3+ people. I plan on playing with my two buddies for a huge videogame orgy. Yay! Any suggestions?

Pretty much any football (actual football, not the American type) game these days. I've heard Pro Evolution (something like that) is pretty good. In fact, this week in school we have two people bringing in their PS2s and TVs so we can have a tournament. Can't wait

Good suggestion Steve, but I'm afriad my other two friends are none too partial to sports games. I'll admit I'm not either.

    So any other suggestions?

    ohhhhhh

umm, that D&D game (I tihnk it is lumped in as a 'baulders gate' game, though it is actualy basicaly diablo)

    yah...
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (and probably the second one also)
    ........

    balox, its only 2 player....

    the game still rocks!

basicaly you each take one of the chars (like fighter, archer, sorc, and possibly another) Then go through a decently cool plot, with alot of fun action

/me goes hunting for 3 player games.

ohhh, I still like the new gauntlet games (aka, those ones that were coming out a few years ago ). yah, those are up to 4 players I think, and they are alot like Dark Aliance
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy is the one I was thinking of

    Timesplitters 2 Best.Multiplayer.Game.Ever
Only problem with it is, it's not as fun until you unlock the good levels/modes/characters. 4 player virus with 8 comp controlled snowmen is how you have a party, the yells of "Im melting" will last long into the night.

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. The first Splinter Cell was AWESOME!!! And Pandora Tomorrow has multiplayer, though I dont know how well it works in a sneaking game

We won a PS2 in Las Vegas and I ended up buying FFX (9/10) and FFX-2 (??/10 not complete yet)

the FF games are great for single player.

Gran Turismo (sp) 3 is a must own, it supports 2 players. Thats all the info I got.

Grand theft auto 3/vice city, even though they are single player are loads of fun to play with an audience. Just trade off every death, it's alot of fun.

Oh I hate the aiming on that game. Consoles are for sport/platformers, not shooting games imo.

    Dungeons and Dragons: Heroes

    ...I'm pretty sure that's on PS2.

    Gauntlet Dark Legacy

...That is on PS2...but I think the Xbox has a couple extra features, still can be good, should be pretty cheap now too.

...err..you know...Red Faction...if you don't have it, is pretty good with a bunch of people. There're better FPS games though, so just pick one of them if you want to kill eachother.

    Conflict Desert Storm

...again, not sure if it's on PS2, but fairly sure it is. It's pretty fun, once you get used to the aiming. I suggest the first one, the second one is really short - even if it does have Makarovs to play with .

I can't think of a PS2 3-4 player game that beats it. Just two player? Then sure, Gitaroo Man every time.

SOCOM 2, as said before. Great squad tatics with your friends, and just because it isnt easy to aim doesnt mean its a horrible game, you get used to it. Its more realistic actually, because IRL its a bit harder than moving a mouse to aim.

    EDIT:: Yes, and eyetoy. Definanty.

Haha! Its funny you all suggested Timesplitters 2, me and my buddies got that a few months ago and played the sin out of it. We got Heroes of Norath, quite good, better'n Dark Alliance if you ask me. It ended up that we watched Southpark, went to a movie, played a shietload of Heroes and combined it with some oldschool magic card playing, (I'm talkin Singor Vampires and Force of Natures, Drain Lives, DD red decks, etc...).

All in all a nice time is acting like you did a few years ago. Its fun AND nastaelgic!
