*Calawen slows down, slightly out of breath and slides her radio out from her trench coat. She takes a moment to compose herself before speaking but is still quite breathless.* "Parasites. Dangerous ones... They are on the space station... Go to the canteen. "Yes ma'am, I am on my way to the canteen. Over and out." *He clicks off his radio, draws his pistol and racks the slide. He checks his six and heads out on a steady trot towards the canteen.*
*Valin looks down at the parasites once more, before activating his radio.* "Okay, I'll be back at the canteen in a minute or two." *He walks out of the room, slamming the door firmly shut and making sure it cannot be opened easily. Then he sets off at a brisk run to the canteen, gun out and eyes searching everywhere, even behind him and on the ceiling.*

*He stares at the small nest of eggs. He's not afraid of it, but he's seen too many movies to get anywhere near them.* "Ah Christ." *Shuts the cabinet door and looks around for something to hold it shut with. He then hears Finrod and Calawen at the door. He decides the little buggers arnt gonna do anything soon. He runs to the door.* "(Yelling) Hey! Why wont this thing open? Damnit im not good with this electronic crap. Is there anything I can do from this side?"
*Calawen reaches the canteen and slows down. She trys the door and when she gets no response she hits it a few times with the palms of her fists in anger.* "I don't want to die here! Stuart open up!" *She turns to Finrod in hope.* "The circuits have shorted, and it's fused it shut. This is your department. If you want to pay me back, open the door. Blast it off it's hinges! Anything! Please!"

OOC: What's this door look like? Solid metal? Glass windows? *Hears Calawen's rising panic.* "I can't damnit! Christ, uh, comon is there any other way in here? Look around!"
*Checks on his drone's progress, trying to drive it to the other side of the door to check if it's possible to open the door from behind*
{radio}"Hey, need help here. The canteen door is jammed"
*If it's not possible to work out something with the drone, Finrod starts to fiddle with door controls, trying to bypass the malfunctioning parts of it, using the drone on the other side to get access to the parts he can't reach from this side.*
The drone makes it to the other side of the door. There doesn't appear to be anything it can do. You fiddle with the circuitry, but accomplish nothing other than a few electric shocks.
Your Technician instincts kick in, and you hear scraching in the vent above you. The sound begins to move through the vents towards the canteen.
*Valin stops suddenly, and raises his Terran sidearm to fire.* “Damn, not more of these guys...” *He fires twice at the head of the corpse, and then waits to see if anything will happen like with Dr St Clair.* “You guys still okay over there?”
The growth pops, and writhes a bit. A leech crawls out of a hole in the corpse, and blows itself up. The growth is revived, quivers, and the corpse stands up.
*Valin sighs loudly, and frowning in frustration, disgust and anger, he pulls the trigger again and again, hitting the head and torso until the gun clicks on an empty chamber. He reloads, and waits again.* “Don’t make me use my favourite revolver...I only use it for special occasions, and you’re not worthy of it.”

Well, you were supposed to be guards, so you have ample ammunition.
The corpse is pretty tattered now. It has only half a torso, one arm, and its legs. Nevertheless, it still comes towards you with alarming speed. Looking over your shoulder, you see a door to the canteen about 30' away.
"Finrod wait. I have an idea." *Calawen is still fretful, then calms herself with several deep breaths.* *She concentrates on the door. She feels for its song. The strings that form it are short and tense. Clustered together. Vibrating at high speeds like a tuning fork. Her mind plays over the door, she surrounds it with her conscience. Slowing it down to a speed she can control. Aligning the stings to face the same way. Magnitising them.* [She then pushes on the door with her mind. Calawen acting as the north, the door the south of a magnet she repels it. Trying to make it crumple inwards.]
*Finrod sitting by the control panel, concentrating on getting the wires to work, when they suddenly begin to vibrate.*
"What the ..."
*Finrod lets go of the wirest, pulling his pistol and spinning around, looking for even more things going crazy in this crazy place, then spots Calawen meditating*
*"Oh my, got any more things you decided not to tell me?" he says, smiling*
The door whines, and begins to bend inwards. Within seconds, its so deformed, it flies off the door-post, sails across the canteen, and hits a wall.
*Calawen looks at Finrods expression of disbelif with an amused smile.* "Yes I did. And there's nothing more I want to tell you, at the moment." *She then strolls into the canteen and looks around.* "Is this place secure?"

*Somewhat shaken by having a large metal door fly past him, he is also visibly ****-off.* "Goddamnit! Next time you decide to send a couple hundred pounds of metal flying through the air, give me a bit of warning! And to answer your question, yea it's secure, other than a pile of gooey little monsters in a cabinet out back. Comon i'll show you the little buggers."
*Walks back to the cabinet, motioning for them to follow.*
"We had something after us. I don't know about you, but I like my body free from nasty parasitic slugs." *She flicks her hair behind her ears and then pulls out her radio.* "And I don't want to see them. You should just kill just them or something." *Then she speaks into the radio.* {Radio}"Icharus! Icharus Ke! Can you hear me?" *She paces up and down in fustration while waiting for a response muttering to herself.* "I want out! They can shove their nine credits an hour. This place is starting to freak me out." *She then goes back to trying to get a response from the ship they arrived on.*

"Fine i'll just squish the little bugs." *Walks out back. The near miss with the door and the running has him visibly limping now, but he dosnt seem to notice. He stands by the cabinet but then does a double take and comes back out.* "Hey, wheres that other guy, Valin? He was on his way here wasnt he?"
