    I'm using a registered version of Opera (Yes, I payed money for a browser. Need I remind you of where I work?). I'm more than happy with it, although I tend to use Mozilla when watching java-heavy sites.

    Bad cheap IE

    Be reminded that I'm quite happy as it is. I really don't want anything like fancy features <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Also, while I know I'm in the minority, I HATE tabbed browsing.

    And while we're on the topic let me go on a personal rant about how ALL of the browsers today suck, NONE of them conform to the W3 standards the way they should, and ALL of them make up their own crap and interpret the standards the way they think they should originally have been made rather than WTH they actually are. Grrrr. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    You cant really talk about conforming to web standards when youre using IE6. It has far worse CSS and box model support than nearly every other browser. Firefox is pretty standards compliant these days, as is Opera. Also, DOOM, you dont have to sue Tabbed browsing with firefox, you can remove it completely.

    Personally, I use Firefox, along with <a href='http://www.chrispederick.com/work/firefox/webdeveloper/' target='_blank'>the Web Developer Toolbar</a>. I also changed a few settings to reduce the rending speed, which brings is in faster than IE.

    And the little fox is a cutei. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I've been using Internet Explorer for the last few years and I've had absolutely no problems with it. So it's staying.

    IF you like improved plugin support and stuff then yes. Its alot sleeker, cleaner, more streamlined, and it basically fixes whatever people don't like about firebird.

    Firefox= Win

    Firefox (0.8) is just the new (and once again renamed) version of your firebird. It now has offline browsing, faster loading times, a implemented download manager and a lot of bug fixes.

    <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> I choose you, Mozilla 1.5!!!

    Just for your information: Mozilla 1.6 has been released a few weeks ago and i think there's already a beta for 1.7 downloadable.

    I, myself am a happy user of the above named firefox, although i'm starting to really like Opera and might switch in the future.

    Mozilla Firefox. I love having no popups. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I don't see how someone can dislike tabbed browsing... Instead of having the "tabs" in your taskbar, you have them in the browser. It's weird at first, but it comes to the same, except it unclutters your taskbar by seperating your web pages from the other programs.

    Oh, and no-one forces you to use it, just open in new browser window rather than in new tab

    Is there any difference between the free version of Opera, and the registered, other than the Ad-Bar being removed?

    I never said it complied to more standards or wasn't a war criminal when it comes to making up their own crap, I just said I personally liked the way it rendered the HTML and whatnot. Also it is faster, faster to load, faster to open new windows, etc. And I actually LIKE my browser/os integration.

    As far as the web standards, I was complaining that ALL OF THEM SUCK. None of them implement all of the W3 standards CORRECTLY, they all wanna do this or that and interpret the standards the way they think they should have been written.

    Oh and thanks for the link to that Web Development Toolbar link Fam, I'll definately use this at work. I got a similar doohickey for IE that does all sorts of neat stuff, but this would help compliment that. :D

    You guys have got me intrigued though, so I'll DL firefox and give it a try and see if I fall in love with it the way you guys have.

    I've been tabbed browsing heavily in the ISD vs USS thread. The ablilty to open a link as a seperate tab with a single click is very useful.

    I use Opera! I like the mousey gestures and I like the windows within a window. I wish it could handle javascript better though. Oh well.
