Ns Problems

I can't get NS 2.0 to run on Gamespy. When i try to get on a server it says Launching Game then GS minimizes then opens up again and an error pops up saying "An error prevented the game from being launched. Please check if the game is installed correctly and if the path is correct". It shouldn't say that because I installed everything right. NS 2.0 used to work on GS before but I installed steam for NS 3.0 and steam screwed everything up so i had to uninstall everything and after that happened NS 2.0 wouldn't work on GS. Can someone please help me?

    Did you tell steam to delete your original Half-Life installation? If so, you'll need to re-install it.

    If not you'll probably need to check the path in gamespy and make sure it's pointing to hl.exe.
