    Looks awesome!! We should get them both skinned! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Chrono, yours looks a bit thicker, but it still looks sooooo hot. I also think it may be truer to the picture, but I can't really tell from that angle.

    Hehe, we really need someone to skin these and make animations <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

It has diverse gameplay, and models to go with it.
    This is not a post, pointed at telling you whats wrong and right, but it's the honest truth about requesting models here.

    I have calculated over 70% of requested models either die, don't get payed attention too, or just plain not finish.

    Your best bet, is to learn how to model yourself, by using the sub-forum located at the top of this forum. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Wooo sex.

    I am torn between Chrono5454's model for my wallpaper, or a hot topless girl holding a deagle, under a blueish light, and such...

    Oh... that would be frikken awesome... You know... I should have my gf do that... with my new sword that's coming in the mail...

    edit:

    Oh, Chrono, if you feel like trying at a slightly more complex/higher poly sword...
    <img src='http://www.weaponmasters.com/images//products/UC_2002/KR0013L.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    Heh. Don't do it if you don't want, the one I wanted you have already done. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    edit2: Oh, this is also another Kit Rae sword... Don't know it's name, but it's the Slayer sword.

    edit3: Holy sh*t! How the hell?!? You started modeling January?!? THIS YEAR?!?
    I hate you. Period.

    edit4: Oh, and you really need to tell me some tips of how to model stuffs.

    i saw that when i was getting pics of the sword you wanted ill give it a shot but this one might end up way too high poly
  • remiremi remedy [blu.knight] Join Date: 2003-11-18 Member: 23112Members, Super Administrators, Forum Admins, NS2 Developer, NS2 Playtester
    Heh, I know it will, it's too complex to make look real good. And you seem to work in quality, not poly counts <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Look at my other edits, i edited it while you were typing i think.

    Great work chrono, high on the polies as ever <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Edit: maybe sounds a bit insulting, he does great work but it always ends up high poly which he himself concedes

    Right, I've mapped the large majority of the model. Only got the handle to finish off which is bloody fiddly I can tell you. This might not get done until the weekend though because I've got a bit of coursework to finish off now and that's got to get done before I finish this off.

  • MintmanMintman Join Date: 2003-05-30 Member: 16866Members
    Ah cool chrono. I've always seemed to have this in built polycounter which goes NO 8 SIDED CYLINDER when I have to make decisions.
  • ChronoChrono Local flyboy Join Date: 2003-08-05 Member: 18989Members
    i think thats why my stuff are high poly (18 sided cylinders)
  • MintmanMintman Join Date: 2003-05-30 Member: 16866Members
    Also I will have a crack at doing a skin, but it's like my 2nd ever skin so don't get your hope up. Once I've meshed it, I'll put the ms3d file on here so anyone can have a go.

    What software is needed for skinning?
  • CoolCookieCooksCoolCookieCooks Pretty Girl Join Date: 2003-05-18 Member: 16446Members, NS1 Playtester, Contributor, Constellation
    photoshop or paint shop pro, but if you want a really sucky skin you can use paint
  • MintmanMintman Join Date: 2003-05-30 Member: 16866Members
    There's also GIMP, a freeware equivalent of PS/PSP that works on linux and windows.
  • remiremi remedy [blu.knight] Join Date: 2003-11-18 Member: 23112Members, Super Administrators, Forum Admins, NS2 Developer, NS2 Playtester
    I've used all of thsoe, but what do you use to preview your skin on the model, and how do you know where the different bits of the texture go?
  • MintmanMintman Join Date: 2003-05-30 Member: 16866Members
    Milkshape 3D, HLMV a combination of those. I'll label the skin mesh so you know which bit relates to what.
  • remiremi remedy [blu.knight] Join Date: 2003-11-18 Member: 23112Members, Super Administrators, Forum Admins, NS2 Developer, NS2 Playtester
    Hmm... Maybe I'll give it a try.
