Yeah, that same question was brought up in the constellation forums, and no one really knows nor have they said anything. But hoenstly, the story is GREAT and I love how it totally relates everything back to the game. It's pretty cool to play the game and then relate it to the story.

They already have a part II...I only read part one, at the time they didnt have a part II, I guess I should read that...

Part II is pretty cool, lets you get more of a sense of "what happened" I suppose.

Although... it kinda just... ends... so it would be nice to have some closure or something, ya know?

I totally agree that they should finish the story.

(slight offtopicness) I know of another great story called "Harbinger of Darkness" in the Starcraft Infocepter sight that lasted for 32 chapters with over 1000 words in eahc chapter. Evidently the author forgot about it because it hasnt been updated for years. This just reminds me of whats happening with the fanfic Sanjii right now, thats all.

Anywho, its just a shame to have great fanfictions stopped dead in their tracks with no closure to it because the authors either forgot it or didnt get enough support from the fans. Of course, the author could also have been "taken out of action" But I'm hoping that didnt happen because I want to see the end of SDIS.

Jeff Paris, has never been the most active member of UWE. Hes around sometimes then tends to vanish for long streches at a time. I know that he worked on the 3.0 Manual so that means he has been around.
Many people have been bugging him ever since he started SDIS to "Give us more".
Its sad that he has only put out 2 parts, hopefully he will finish it off so that NS will have its "first contact" story done.

Well in an attempt for a small substitue I'm half -way through the makings of a first-encounter type story including the skulk, gorge, and Onos, so far it's about 4 pages, so it won't be as indepth as Sanjii, but it should fill the gap!
