Yeah I know right?
Unless your computer runs *really* cold, that's no place to put a hamster. It will be too hot for him. A quick google search reveals that hamsters should be kept at 65-75 Farenheit (18-23 Celsius) and should not be exposed to temperatures in excess of 85 Farenheit (29 Celsius).
The average computer runs at 35-45 Celsius, or 94-113 Farenheit. Clearly, that is *no* place to put a hamster.
On another note, from the first pic it looks like you're using the actual aluminum internal "skeleton" of the case as the cage. I think it's a very bad idea. Shavings, bits of food, and less desireable elements (like P00P) will easily get kicked out of those small holes and down into your computer's guts. Also, I'd worry about (1) the hamster getting some kind of metal poisoning from prolonged contact with what can't be terribly clean *or* pure metal, and (2) chemical reactions between the metal and the animal's urine.
I'd suggest at the least that you completely enclose the hamster in plexiglas to solve the second problem. However, I'd really recommend that you remove him from the computer altogether unless, as I said, your computer runs *really* cold.

and in the end its a rodent...if he dies, so what, just a $4 hamster
I'm not thinking of this hamster as a family pet, im thinking of it as part of my computer, if it dies, it's replacable, not mournful
Animal cruelty - at least in the US - is a crime, and you're a horrid person if a hamster means nothing more to you than a neon tube or a couple of LEDs.

Animals aren't really a commodity that you can throw away at your leisure... that kind of attitude isn't healthy. Though it is a bit sociopathic.
While I don't ascribe human rights to animals, I do think that they shouldn't be mistreated. That's rather immoral, and un-Biblical (and that's important to me).
But while you continue to have a calloused "tough guy" attitude here, your images say otherwise. You claim to not care that you hamster lives or dies. Why then did you give it bedding, water, and food? I think you do care for the hamster, but overall you're too lazy to actually maintain the life of the creature.
Give it to someone who really wants a hamster.

Cheap, smells nice, and soft, easy for the hamster to tunnel in.
I suggest a 25 gallon retangular fish tank. Flat bottom, and sides, with a mesh cover (removable) on top.
I hate animal cruelty. I cannot stand it. Its the worst against small animals, who cannot defend themselfs, against us. Usually those animals are tamed, and awsome pets. But some people dont realize that its supposed to be a FRIEND not a PLAYTHING OR AN IT. You care for it, like if your best friend was sick, and had to totally rely on you. I doubt you would put your best friend inside a giant computer case, which is hot. Plus thats a long haired hamster. They get overheated fast. I request you move that hamster to a better place, at once, or I shall contact the ASPCA. I am not joking, and this is no idle threat. That is not safe for the hamster, and your endangering its wellbeing.

Some parts are cooler than others. It looks like the entire cage runs across the top, with another cage at the bottom... at least I can assume thats where the tube leads. It looks like there are plenty of airholes near the top, and those wood chips should provide good insulation from the heat. So I think it should stay at roughly room temperature. The one on the bottom might be a little hot though - a fan in the front should solve that, if theres not already one there.

Assuming he/she didnt clean it, which I cant say. And what are hamster cages made out of? And those wheels? Metal. Im no expert on animal cages, though i'll bet theyre both made out of aliminum.

Well, as I said, assuming theyre both aluminum, I dont see where there should be any problems. Though its something to look in to.
And im not going to state my opinions on animal cruelty, though some of you are grossly overreacting.
Regardless, cool case idea. If I were more of an animal person I would do it, but I know I would neglect the little fuzzball if I got one.

2)
Comical for a minute, then it turns into animal cruelty.
does he have enough room in there lol?
seems kinda small even for a hamster.
then again its like a little penthouse with internal heat.
