*muffles cheers*
Post descriptions of what sort of textures you'd like to see made and I (or anyone wlse who feels they can do it) will try to make them for you.

Also, if possible, please try to include en example of what you want. This'll keep me from making five different versions before I get what you want.

P.S. - I'll start working on these after spring break. I'm going to Mexico and won't be back until the 25th.

Here are a fe examples (Sorry there aren't more): [clicky]

Well, even though your examples look nothing like NS-style textures, I will take them in the spirit of examples and presume that you have a wider range than that.

That said, I think what I (and probably most mappers) could really use are lots more 'sets' of textures. Why is everyone so tempted to use those pink wall_lab textures (of Eclipse fame) all the time? Because they all go together, and there are enough of them to fill lots of roles: several styles of wall textures, a few support beam textures, some edgings, and they all look enough alike that they seem to "go together". Simply put, we need more such sets.

How about a grainy/rustyish metal set, like the bowels of a not-too-well-upkept industrial installation?

How about a few more styles of clean tech-ish looking textures, for science labs and the pretty, "public" sections of a station?

    etc.

I think what NS could use most is just a big library of texture sets, enough so they don't even all get used in all the official maps. But, it would allow mappers to pick a set to go with the atmosphere of their map, and it would keep the maps from looking too much alike (the more available texture choices, the better). ns_ayumi is a great example of this - it is a visually gorgeous map, with its own unique style, but it had to use the wall_lab textures (tinted blue) because there aren't many other cohesive texture sets available. And I bet you anything at least two other people release full maps using those blue-tinted ayumi textures, again for lack of other good options.

    Agreed

Ns would benefit from sets of textures that suit different roles since it is hard to find textures that are not of the pink wall_lab set that fit together.
Most people that are new to mapping are tempted to just use them since they are the easiest to work with not to mention an experienced mapper can create a very visually appealing level using them.

I would love to see sets of textures come out each with a different theme an style to them an they all work together.

    How about:

    A Marine-Specific texture pack

    An Alien-Specific texture pack

    A marine-alien crossover/fadeover pack

Random crap pack (shirts, guns, etc)

Shirts? Surely a random crap pack would have stuff like trim, venting, window and glass textures in it.
