='( I get the same also...

I used to play ns with a geforce 2 mx , and had no problems running at 30 fps, last week i bought a geforce fx 5600, and installed all the latest drivers and cranked up halflife (NS) to 32 bit textures, ingame i kept getting a Cl_flushentitypacket error, the game would freeze up and then restart... very laggy, i turned down the textures to 16 and im still getting the cl_flushentitypacket error.... it gets reall laggy and normally occurs when there r loads of players, or big battles...

i did mess around with my rate to 15000 and my fps_max 100 but thats all... help!! my internet cponnection is 512 down, 128 up

    system specs:
    intel celeron 2.2ghz
    Geforce FX 5600
    256MB RAM
    60GB HD..

Is this only a problem in NS, or do you have this problem with all halflife mods ? If you have the problem with all mods, it's probably not a NS-problem, and I suggest you go to the steam forums, and look there. www.steampowered.com

Have you tried lowering your rate considering you are on a 56k?

it appears to be related to your connection speed. Go to this link, it may help.

Well i found out the problem, it wasposted on the steampowerd forums, steam kept resetting the internet speed to a 14k modem, just changed it on the settings menu, im now running at 60 - 70 fps at 1200-600 x 32bit <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
