Question About Gls And Weapon Levels

<div class="IPBDescription">:D</div> do the GL grenades start to deal more damage as the weapon level increases? i always thought it did, but some people said it didn't.... and then some people said it did, and they started fighting about it on a server.

who is right?

    As weapons get upgraded, all weapons do more damage. except turrets, they took that out

    Knife is not increased in damage IIRC. Grenade launcher is most definatly, you see huge results from the upgrades on buildings.

    Start lan game.
    select map.
    Preferably a CO map.

    Now, type "mp_drawdamage 1" and "givexp 300" in the console, without the quotes, obviously.

    Give yourself a grenade launcher, proceed to hive.

    Shoot hive.

    Notice damage points rising from hive.

    Get damage 2.

    Shoot hive.

    Notice increased damage points rising from hive.

    Get damage 3.

    Shoot hive.

    my NS crashes every time i try to type mp_drawdamage 1, only happened since the latest steam patch, and as soon as i have typed 'mp_d' it crashes, but if i dont type the d, then its fine.
    i sense a conspiracy

    yes, GL is affected by weapon upgrades
