I fear sensory because I know I'll be the one who has to drop the hives. If we don't get a second hive ASAP, we'll have marines with electrified nodes everywhere that the fades can't take down (after all, that's their ONLY use since a two-hive skulk is just about as good against marines).
Shrug. Being Gorge is just a tad boring when you're waiting for res - other than that, helping your team if they're not smacktards is good fun. Try going Redemption Gorge - you just need to hop around and dodge enough LMG fire for those last 60 units of damage to not be instant, and you'll never lose your 10 res. Its pretty easy - and definitely easier than escaping battle with a Hive1 Gorge.
Other than that, I thought I saw you today on the best public server out there already - so just keep going there. Teamplay et cetera is rarely an issue there

One problem with Pubs is that most people don't have an intuitive understanding of the res system for aliens. Simply put, most people playing aliens are interested in the last 4 minutes of the game where they can rush into enemy spawn and eat people with their stupid horse sized piece of ****. (btw, i hate aliens)
As for having a "rage" policy like the one the quote is not going to be particularly successful, especially if people are trying to learn how to play. I agree, noob aliens who want to go fade/onos immediately are annoying, they just need to learn the benefits of gorging.
Personally, I always gorge and help the attack troops by building OC and DC near the front positions. Its a thankless task but someone has to do it...
I look at gorging like i look at comming, sometimes it truely blows **** and i wish to god i'd never got in the chair with the way other people play but when you get a good game it's hella good fun. I guess it's a bit of give n'take unfortunately and short of joining a clan or become a reg on the servers people have mentioned i'm not sure what can be done to fix it.
I will say though, don't hate the people who shout things like "MC ASAP" or whatever, fades/onos/whatever are an important part of the alien game and by getting these ugprades your helping them and in your turn your team(well, lets just hope the onos isn't NSplayer who just charged an HA train head on or something, but you get me, right?). They're just trying to make sure their investment in res isn't totally wasted.
On the subject of thanking, i think it's a nice thing to do in a game. It can be quite boring, particulary on combat to go gorge and so a "gj gorge" or "WP gorge" or something along those lines goes a long way to not making the player go "sod this, i'm going lerk." It always feels nice to be appreciated.

I have equally frustrating problems, albeit from a different perspective. If an entire team goes gorge and puts a tower/chamber down, you're boned - you need someone to save up RFK and go fade. If I don't see anyone else doing so, I'll do it, as well as try to keep the gorges safe and the marines at bay. Of course, my team will simply yell at me for selfishly going early fade without slapping any buildings down beforehand, and I will leave the server in disgust. I will then return to find the aliens losing due to their lack of coordination.
Find a better server. We usually assign roles to eachother like dc gorge, hive gorge, rt gorge and 1 or 2 early fades that don't build anything at all (If they are worth it that is..). Early fade may sound like reswhoring and i kinda agree that it is but a good one REALLY pays off. If some marines shottyrush the whole map for your rt's and you're all sitting at 10 res you are doomed without a fade.
The most adaptable 6-man alien team has the following roles:
2 people save for fade 1 person saves for 3 chambers (normally DCs) 1 person saves for hive 1 skulk caps an early RT then builds chambers at hive 2 1 permagorge/RT builder
Any extra players build res at game start then skulk.
This is how the majority of planned games turn out on the server I play the most; the impact of having two 1 hive fades inside 3-4 minutes and two 2 hive fades with 3 DC and MC around 7-8 minutes is very powerful and more than offsets the slow resource flow in the early game (also only 2 gorges in the early game lets your team pressure the marines more strongly than if most of the team gets a res early on)
Yeah, old gorging was more fun. The good ol'days where it was save the gorge or you lose. Now I can't even get a skulk to defend me for more than a second.
