Well I was just playing NS and all of a sudden after 10 minutes of gameplay my whole screen goes pink and white boxes for text, bulletholes, and muzzle flash show up. I just downloaded the new 3-23-04 patch that fixed the crash on mapchange. I will post screenshots but first I need a good site to host these pictures.

System Specs:

P4 2.56 GHZ
Radeon 9600 XT 128mb
4.1 Catalyst drivers (tried newer ones didn't help)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum (Latest drivers)

PS: I should also add that my dad was toying with my BIOS for some reason, just wondering if there is anything in there that could have cause for this problem.

There's lots of things in there that can cause problems(e.g. set the dram timings too narrow, lower the AGP signaling voltage for some reason, turn on fan speed controll etc.) but it doesn't sound like the sort of issue you'd have from fiddling in the BIOS unless you overclock the AGP/PCI bus or something(why would your dad do that?).

    Assuming the problem is hardware:
Frankly your problem sounds like a GPU core(not the memory) overheat issue(causes all sorts of weirdness, flickering polygons, lightmaps not rendered(fullbright), all sprites suddenly dissapear, player models dissapear, things may get rendered the wrong way(e.g. addative or solid colour) etc.).

Can you look in your case and see if your GPU fan still spins? Can you go play a GPU heavy game so you can see if it is indeed steam or hardware problems?

Assuming steam problem: Try using the default steam skin, I had assorted weirdness in DOD with a custom one(that grey one that came with steam), text dissapeared or appereared as solid boxes(when having console up, it appeared as boxes, else invisible).

My GPU fan still spins, and I changed the steam skin to default skin and my whole screen went gray and black. I'm waiting till tomorrow to ask my dad change the settings he changed in my BIOS back to what they were. I saw him change something to 'manual' but that's all.

Damnit I can't upload my pictures, AAAAAARGH!

"manual" means you get to fiddle with it. Many bios have load defaults or you could just go snoop around in the bios, probably under advanced features at what is set to manual, if there's only one thing the solution is obvious set it back to auto(or by SPD for memory timmings etc. The default alternative.).
