<div class="IPBDescription">The old version was getting repetitive</div>I decided to completely rebuild my map (using a few prefabs from the previous version) after watching ALIENS: the directors cut (###### for being too long to tape completely becos of those godforsaken ad breaks.
Anyway these two shot are of the results of an hours work this morning (and a night of brewing ideas)

Corridor looks good, especially the grated floor. I agree with Greedo, and would take it a bit further; if the passage way has 400 or so polys to play with, I'd add more detail. One cool trick Merkaba uses is to take that grating, and put cool lighting and details <i>under</i> it. You then get a nifty effect for an ordinarily non-descript passageway. Ditto for ceilings. I might add more stuff on the side panels, and there will probably be a door of the side of it. I haven't redone the layout yet but with the fact that most of the corridors will be much narrower i'll have more room to add in extra 'stuff'
I like what you've got so far. It would be cool to use the transparent red grating for you wall insets and add some lights/details behind them too. That can come later if you have polys and faces to spare.
And you were aaaaalllll calm and happy, thinking 'Hey, it was only that darned cat! Whew.'
Then CHOMP! They hit you with the alien teeth.

But duno if that's true.
Oh yeah and back to the topic, looks nice and that lightning should look great ingame, and yeah that rail needs some work.Maybe you coudl use a partical system to create some steam that comes from beneath the floor and that rises up, some dripping water?You'll think of something.
