Hi, <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />
v. 1.0 to 1.04 were the Betas of NS which Gameplay i really liked most.
Unfortunately there aren't any Servers of it anymore - but there is maybe a way for me to get a 1.04 Server with 12 or 14 Slots. The only thing is - would there be any Players?

I started a Vote because of that to see how many People would be interested to play. Unfortunately the Vote is in German, so i have to translate it for you:

If there would be an 1.04 Server,how often you would come to play?

Please note: We dont want People that only want to play 1.04 because they want to use all the Exploit of it again! There will be Cheating-Death,HLGuard and some Plugins to fix the 1.04 Exploits,the Leap Exploit etc. online.
Bunnyhoppscripts and Pistol Scripts would be forbidden!
Jetpackrushs in the first minutes would be forbidden too.

Like i said, i would easily put a 1.04 server up, but the CPU usage is UGH!

I would play. I voted every day because.. well, I wasnt sure how long sometimes was. lol

I would at least play it every day, and if I missed one day, I would damn well be on the server the next.

I'd definately play. Though the server's in Germany and as such, i'd have a crappy ping.

Id really like to run this Server,but atm there are not enough Players that would play every day i think,ask your friends too pls!

Well, does anyone know how much System/Cpu load 1.04 takes? Much more than NS 3.0 ?
Im running an 3.0 12 Slot Server right now - i dont like 3.0 so i would run 1.04 instead! If 1.04 takes lesser CPU load than 3.0 we maybe can run 14 slots - otherwise 12 ones!

Maybe you could ask flayra to fix the old bugs inb a 1.04 verison if it isnt too hard? have u tried switching some files? or is everything is the .dll file?

Yes,a fixed 1.04 would be very cool,cause i really dont like the 2.0/3.0 Gameplay.

Good news: Maybe im able to get a stronger Server,that is able to carry the cpu load of 1.04!

Every day I'm feeling more and more like b3 is sheit when compared to v2 or even v1... Skulking is no fun, onosing is useless, marine play is ridicilously easy, and even gorging and building WoL's is for naugh. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /> And in a time that is hardly one third of the time v1 was out.

So I voted "sometimes", and if it proves better than v3, every day -even though I'm 95% sure that constant jetpack rushes will **** me off.

Any IP's? (And I do not mean Infatry Portals <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /> )

i'd certainly hop in every now and then, at least twice a week.

i always thought someone should set up a "Friday night 1.04" or something, at a set time and a set server. get the word around and i'll bet you would have people lined up to get in.

Concerning the vote, I only voted sometimes, for thats the most Ive ever played NS in any form. If you keep it a nice place (banish jp rushes, clear of lamers), I might go there regularly (err..as regular as I can get <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />)

yeah I think that I'd like to play 1.04 at a certain time because I really liked a lot of things about the good old 1.04 and plus if it became a regular thing we could find out how many people want to play 1.04 and maybe get a few servers all the time playing it.

Wow! So much people already!
Looks good for the Server! I will start to upload and run Tests today!

You dont need to worry about Lamers,Jetpackrushs,Cheaters and Exploiters!
I really know the things i did not like on 1.04 - such people will be kicked/banned! Of course all other kinds that are disturbing the peace too!

Not sure, but I think Cheating-Death has now a problem with pre-beta3 versions of NS -or so it seemed when I yesterday gave a shot to v2. Btw, does anyone know where to download v1.04 full?

I'd very much love to play old versions again, but since i got a new computer, i dont have a install anymore. is there any downloads, or do you jsut want to keep the mainstream 1337kids out, and have the playing restricted to only to people who have old installs =(?

Well, everyone is welcome,but if youre new to NS 1.04 you have to obey and learn from the old Players,because 1.04 has a very complicated Gameplay and contrary to 2.0/3.0 hard Teamplay is still required! Thats why we all love it! For example only one Gorge per Hive is allowed,because otherwise the Res is growing much to slowly,or you can only go Fade/onos if you have the 2./3. Agreed. 2-3 isnt as good as 1.04. just fix the small errors and unbalances with it.

Sorry for letting you wait so long!

Ive uploadet 1.0 to the Server already,but i cant start it,cause the Folder it is in has not the required attributes - the Server owner needs to change this,cause i cant,and he is away at the moment,so we have to wait a bit,sorry <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' />,but it should not take to long!

I remember the lone Gorge. I used to be it, more often than not. I was keeping a record of my wins/losses, too.

My heart was crushed when 2.0 voided my progress.

Maybe you are too far from the server.
It is located in Paris, so good ping are for european.
Anyway, there is no other 1.04 servers

It is normal to have ugly ping if u are far away from a server
