<div class="IPBDescription">Steam servers gone?</div> Hello to the NS community! Long time player but new to the forums.
That said, I'd like to know where all the STEAM servers have gone? I log in at various times of the day, but still only 1-2 servers are visable at a time, with no players in them. I'd like to know if theres a server list that I can plug into Steam somehow, or a solution to using the Steam interface for my NS3beta games.
I just hope it isn't a matter of players losing interest....
Thanks

I am counting areound 500 beta servers....
admitadly only about 100 of them have poeple in them atm...
well, there are pleanty of servers out there.
so if you are not picking any up, then something is messed up.
Again, poke at all of your cinfigs (including your filters)
or try using the All Seeing Eye, or similar server browsers (I recomened ASE b/c I like it)
[ ] Area filter is either local or off
[ ] Ping filter is not too low
[ ] Anti-cheat filter is off
[ ] Has users playing is unchecked
[ ] Full server is unchecked
last: [ ] Latest beta is installed (3.0b3)
DAMN YOU STEAM!!!
OS? Any spy/spam/firewall software running?
I had similar problem about a year ago with software called Secret Maker.
I am using cable with Linksys router, no firewall software, but NSW running. OS is XP-Home.
You may have a problem with your ISP blocking certain site. Try to ping some NS servers.
If you are using XP, go to start>run> and type cmd then enter. At command prompt type ping then the address. Here are some ns server addresses:
66.208.107.78
160.36.182.89
69.72.130.242
66.98.130.135
after typing the address hit enter. It should look like this:
ping 66.208.107.78
You should receive message stating reply from with stats. If you get message that Ping request could not find host then contact your ISP. To test to make sure you are doing it properly type the following:
ping yahoo.com
or someother website you know works.
