Godhand, read the manual. Story-wise, the comm is only as 'ominscient' as the marines and their nano's. How about comm can hear what marines can hear, like the sight. Granted this probably isn't the easiest thing to do coding wise but would be (atleast IMO) the ideal solution, when (if) this ever gets around to getting fixed.
