We would like a few servers to run hivemind! If you run Hivemind on your server,
please contacts us via email (modchaoscontrol@hotmail.com) and we will send you the latest hivemind (including gorge,lerk,fade and onos support) to run on your server.

    I have a question - could you say something, anything at all about what this bot is, and where we could get it if we were interested? This is a rather pointless thread until that's done.

    I'm not an idiot, I have basic reading comprehension skills. He says the website is down but there is a temp website with download links... and he doesn't bother to link to it.

    how about some actual info.

    You come on and say:
    we have a bot.... we don't have ANY info on it, but its a bot... REALY!

    you have 3 posts (these 3), and are simply telling us to download something on faith alone.....

    I realy suggest atleast posting up some docs mate.

    There yah go.

    Look, you live in an age rife with trools/spamers/virii, If you come onto a forum and start asking people to download something with giving 0 info.

    Combine that with the fact that that yuor first response to some one asking for info was to tell them to just download it.

    we don't know you, next time just put all of your info in your first post. (infact I would suggest editing your first post to include the moddb thing)

    Look, I am tryong to hlep you out mate.

    You have to give people info and a REASON why they should download/help you out.

    Checking over the ModDB thing also showes that you have no info there.

    What can/can not your bots do?
    how effective are they?
    Are there known problems?
    what are your goals?
    what features are you working on?

    Anyhow, it's great that you've decided to write a bot, but I'd concentrate on a marine bot. No offence to Cheeseh, but between RCbot and WhichBot, RCbot is definately the weaker of the two. Of course it's been quite some time since I tested either of them, I'm sure they've improved.

    Speaking of... I should try them out again soon. (/me runs off to start a server).

    To be really honest, i'm not impressed:

    Can the bot:
    Comm?
    Marine?
    HA?
    JP?

    And how good does it:
    Lerk?
    onos?
    fade?
    gorge?
    skulk?

    I mean, i can't download it, doesn't work.
    And, it is unclear to me, why this bot would be better than others.

    Not to mention the the RCBot source code has been released, I don't think re-writing it from HPBBot will do any good for us....

    I'm together with Archon, I'm not impressed....

    this is an ALIEN-ONLY Bot.

    The version i am working on (3.0) has full support for all lifeforms and upgrades
    new "traits" (celerity etc.)

    In comparism to RCBOT:

    Rcbot is a bot for both teams, and the AI is divided, making them worse.

    In comparism to Whichbot:

    Whichbot is a "chicken"

    When they lose HP, they run away...
    They also only try to build MCs and evolve ALWAYS the same traits..

    ever since playing Whichbot i wanted to make my own ns bot.

    i am proud of it.

    would count floyd of pod-bot for CS not make a CS bot cause there was others?

    NO WAY!!

    If i want to make an NS bot (alien only) then why should i be critised for doing something i want to do? get a clue
