<div class="IPBDescription">Help Help</div> I have download the Ns v3.0 beta 1 and beta 3 however, i still not able to play NS and the icon of NS did not appear in the steam launcher , i try to play it but it said something was different with the others plz assist

You need to dl NS Beta 1, NS Beta 2, and NS Beta 3 to my knowledge

Updating from 3.01 to 3.03 doesnt' work far as I know

No need to install beta2... beta1 and then beta3 is enough...

I guess the problem is that beta 1 installs to default <b>c:\program files\steam\steamapps\email\half-life\..</b> if your steam is installed elsewhere you had to move <b>nsp</b> folder located above to the half-life directory where your steam is installed...

then run beta3 patch choosing the half-life folder in your steam directory as install path...

Do i need to install Ns v2.0 because i don't have Ns v2.0

No... NS3.0 Beta 1 install is a stand alone mod, installed in a different directory (nsp)... just be sure that it is installed in the right place (as stated in my first msg.)...

I think I am having the same problem. Everytime I try to play I get the following message on my screen after steam launches and I try to connect to a server:
.dll[cl_dlls/client.dll] differ from the server's

Am I right that this is the same problem as Marcofs?

If you get client.dll differs error that means client (your) version of NS is different from servers... Either you didnt installed the beta 3 patch or you installed but the server is not beta 3... To be sure check the name of the server for its version... If it is ok (Beta 3) then you had to install beta 3 patch again... When it asks for installation path, be sure to choose the half-life directory under steamapps; not the nsp directory...

Or, like me, your .dlls suddenly disappeared for no discernible reason.
Still, just reinstall.

OK. I have reloaded NS v_1 and then the beta 3 patch twice and in the correct folder. My nsp file is in my steamapps halflife folder and the cl_dlls file is in there also. I also just tried playing on every beta 3 server that steam could find and still got the differs message. Also no NS icon appears in my steam launch.

Any ideas as to what I should try next? Thanx in advance for the help.
