Flayra Moving To Canada?

I was reading over the changes to the UWE site since I last visited, and I noticed after the job openings section:

<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->All positions are full-time positions in downtown Vancouver, B.C. Off-site or contract work is not available for these positions.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I guess this means that NS2 will be "Made In Canada", and that Flayra will be moving to Canada <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

My only woe is that Flayra didn't choose eastern Canada, as then I would have been able to attend special events that Flayra holds for the public, like release parties and such things that are always too far for me to drive <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    And once again, I remark upon the incredible inconvenience posed by the Atlantic Ocean. I want to witness one of those damn release parties, for goshs sake!

    Bah, Canada is almost as wide as the atlantic ocean anyhow, either way it's still an insurmountable barrier <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> (To get there at the same time as a release party, that is)

    Still, I have family in Vancouver that I visit every few years. Maybe next time I'm over there I can ask Flayra for a tour of the UWE offices, if they'd let me.

    I don't think they have offices yet, so whoever's handling the hiring is in Vermont, and when the company actually gets offices, everybody will move to Vancouver.

    Where in Vermont? I'll be there in 20 minutes!! To bad I have no skills that would be useful to a gaming company, much less look good on a resume. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Nice, a short walk and I'll be in front of the offices of Natural Selection (hopefully). Maybe I'll sleep over the night before they open, and then they'll feel obligated give me money, food, and the code for Natural Selection.

    sweet! I live in vancouver. I should go meet Flayra and give him a big hug.

    And that also means that Vancouver has spawned the 3 most played HL mods; CS, DoD, and NS

    You forgot TFC =P

    I live in victoria, so I'm just across the water from vancouver.

    Of course, nothing in this thread actually says anything official about Flayra moving to canada =P

    Considering the bite of a beaver.. that's not even that far fetched a replacement.

    Okay.. Xeno's probably a little odd.. you only tend to get that if you're 4x4ing.

    welcome to canabis... i mean canada

    you moving to vancouver? you better have money. everything is expensive over here. living space, office space, income taxes, goods and service taxes, provincial-sales-taxes, property taxes. all at outrageus rates. real estate market is also pretty hot because we're getting the olympics, so if you haven't got yourself an apartment/house already, you'll pay through the nose to get one (that is, unless you want to live in a crime-infested area where you wouldn't dare park your car outside) it also rains like 250 days a year here. david duchovny hated it so much he left the x-files because of the rain

    on the plus side, grow-ops everywhere, and pot is easily accessible.

    on a warning note to our new businessmen, our drunken pro-business step-on-the-common-worker facist government will lose power next election and the scandalous-incompentent "I declare war on big business" socialists will be back in power, so the business climate may change in a few years

    It seems Flayra has changed his mind. From the new Sentinal update:

    <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->In Unknown Worlds news, it's looking more and more like we're going to be
    opening our doors in the Bay Area, specifically, downtown San Francisco.
    I've been agonizing over cities in various countries for a long time, but I
    think this is going to be our new home.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Yet the UWE site still says:

    <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->All positions are full-time positions in downtown Vancouver, B.C. Off-site or contract work is not available for these positions. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    It would seem to me like Flayra was leaning towards Vancouver, but changed his mind to San Francisco later, and hasn't yet updated the UWE site. I wish he'd reply to tell us what the Vancouver thing is about <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
