Yet Again, More Problems...

<div class="IPBDescription">This time, it's serious</div> Alright guys, 5 minutes into the game, I'm getting a feel for it, and all of a sudden it starts to LAG DOWN. I MEAN LAG. The sound is distorted, the screen is frozen, the sounds repeat them selves, this all lasts for a good 20-30 seconds, giving my enemy plenty of time to kill me.
And after this, it just gets worse, going on in 2 min to 5 min intervals after the first one.
This happens on all my games on this comptuer, RtCW (SP and MP), Freedom Fighters, Counter-Strike, DoD, you name a game, it does this.
I have asked on numerous forums why this happens, I haven't gotten a real conclusive answer, some say heat, so I sprayed out the dust, didn't help, the fans are whirring like crazy, I swear this thing could take off or explode.
Some say look and see if you're running OpenGL, which I am, then they say, put fps_max 100 in the console, done and did, ntohing helps. Remember, this affects all of my games whether they be single player or multiplayer.

I had my fans stop working completely, and any game I run would freeze completely.
Do you think it might be a cooling problem? I don't want to spend money on something I didn't need.
