<div class="IPBDescription">Rules and Regulations [WIP] thread...</div> <span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Rules and Regulations on Participation:</span>
Each participant will be able to enter TWO models, with an exception of building and player models, where submissions are infinite.
Each model will be submitted to me (Delarosa) Via PM (if have hosting that works for .zip and it NOT the ns forums) Via e-mail rose @ neotech.cc, or via a messenger service.
Once your TWO models are submitted, you will no longer be allowed to submit/change the models that you will compete with. (no withdrawl of a model to replace it with another, this INCLUDES updates on your model, so send ONLY your final version.)
The Voting Will last for 7 days, anyone found of cheating the polls will be disqualified from the contest, and have their name on the “watch for rule breaking” list with the forum moderators.
The initial date you started on your model can be no OLDER than April 01 2004.
Models submitted must be your original work. “Hacks” or compilations of other people’s work does not count as your own work.
To the effect of a person creating a player model, their submission will be given lenience time depending on a case by case basis, you should notify me that you are creating a player model, and send me updates on a frequent basis.

Create a .Zip or .Rar file including the following:
A .3ds and if possible a .ms3d (one or the other, preferably both)
2 wireframe images (.jpg)
2 “money-shot” renders (.jpg)
If applicable, the concept art you based your model off of.
A zip file of credits (.txt)
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>To be included in your text file:</span>
Your name
Your contact information (e-mail, website, aim/msn/yahoo/icq… something your NOT going to have changed in 3 years)
Modeling Program used
Amount of time spent on file
If applicable, the name of the person that did your concept (if not you)
Polygon Count
A line stating that you give permission for T2K to host the file in the WIP section of the site (a line with “no” or “yes” works)
Submissions will be broken up into Classes, and each class will have each a separate poll.

General:
Model must be Triangulated (no quad-modeling please)
Be honest in your polygon count in the text file (we will check up on them anyway, but that doesn’t mean you can be lazy)
Do not delete back-faces
Knives/Grenades:
Maximum polygonal Count: 800 tri
Handguns/Welders/Mines:
Maximum polygonal Count: 1500
Light/Heavy Machine Guns/Shotguns:
Maximum Polygonal Count: 1800
Grenade Launcher:
Maximum Polygonal Count: 2000
Player Models:**
Maximum Polygonal Count: 2500
Building Models: **

chrono, i know your models, winning a contest like this wouldn't be a challenge for you... hence the poly restrictions being so tight... you have to work on keeping them low(er) and we have to work on MAKING them...
if you absolutly can't edit the poly down by 100, submit it anyway... if it's anything OVER 100 poly off... i won't accept it for the contest (ok?)

for those (like mr.monkeypoo) if you are unable to see the images hosted on T2K, follow the directions located <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=63364' target='_blank'>Here</a>
and remember, make a backup copt of the hosts file before overwriting it... although nobody i have talked to has had any problems, it still is a good idea to take nescisarry precautions.
