<div class="IPBDescription">is it possible or not?</div> Is it possible to create maps, which have a shape like the "ring-world" halo?

I mean, one big ring, and on the inner side happens everything, but it should be realy a ring, standing upgright

I want to make such a map, but i want to know, if i can create something like a virtual gravity WITHOUT force_push -

is that possible or is it not?

As far as I know, gravity only works one way in HL. Even if you did trick it into pushing people onto the walls as they moved upwards, their feet would still point down along the z-axis. So it would make for some odd looking battles to say the least.

    to sad... well, ok -
no antigravitation tricky matches on an oooooooooold earthstation which rotates to create gravity...
(which is the advanced method we have - now...)

    thanks, bob.

Isn't an animated sky possible for this? Can the HL engine even have animated skies? If so, you can just trick people with a rotating sky instead of them rotating themselfs.

no, they won't see anything rotating (except the center - because, yes, its a ring, not a disc...) - because the players would be on the inner side of the halo and this means, ... ah i dont know how to describe it.

Do you know 2001: Odysse in Space? With H.A.L.? I meant such a space station to battle at. Map would be CO....
    yeah..

Have to wait until the devs went on to another engine, which supports the gravity...
