Can't blame you for saying you want to take a break. I feel that way myself lately. Seems less and less things I actually enjoy while playing NS. I mean the first 5 minutes are always routine and pretty much go the same way. If nobody is dead, then the resource war comes into play. Aliens always win resource war in the end (sooner if not later).
Then humans, about half-way through the game if they haven't already, decide to take double node if there is one, otherwise they try to take a hive. The aliens already have o chambers in double or hive, and humans get obliterated (even if they try making phase). Then comm saves up for prototype lab and attempts to give everyone jps and such. By the time the upgrading is done, there are 4 turrets defending the human base and not enough res to give marines but one jet pack. The 4 onos and 2 fades rush into the human base and it is all over with.
The only actual fun I ever get it when I feel like I am actually accomplishing to win the round. Most times I don't feel that unless I am putting up res nodes, or securing a position crucial for winning the game. The rest of the time, I'm trying to kill a fade or onos with a lmg, and when I die, I feel like giving up.
I'll probably be back. I'm just tired of NS for now.
If people tell you your flaws, learn by them. Keep pushing to get better then that, don't quit something you enjoy just because of some disgruntled pugger or what not. Oh yes, that's the money shot.
Everyone, if you have nothing nice to say, shut your effing pie holes.
