Serious Issues

<div class="IPBDescription">So close...</div> ALRIGHT. I installed EVERYTHING (supposedly) for Hammer 3.5
Now, when i hit f9 to test my awesome square map, with a light and a player spawn.
I get the following message of love (Sarcasm)!

** Executing...

RIGHT AFTER THAT LINE I GET A POPUP WINDOW:
[FATAL ERROR]
Could not find systemfile dll to load.





AARG IM SO CLOSE, ive fixed like 30 bugs just to get this far.
Im running XP, and trying to make it work on Steam

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, i've been trying for like a day now. Someone suggested compiling in WON, but i have no clue what he is talking about.

First of all I wouldn't be using hammer to compile. I'd download batch compiler (works wonders) and use that instead. Also make sure you have hammer (and eventually batch compiler if you dl it) set up properly.

WON is the world opponent network, its non-steam half-life/mods.

I have batch, just no clue how to use it. All I meant by compile, is when i hit f9, and hit GO,

so How do i use batch? I tried it, it just wanted some... file... and i'm confused and lost.. and scared... and lonely.

My set up. I know some of it is off, just someone show me EXACTLY WHAT THEY SHOULD BE (dont worry aobut email, i dont use it anymore)

Look in mapping help sub forum stickys. They show how to set up the batch compiler. Also make sure you d/l the latest version of XP-Cagey's tools.

Psycho Disco Monkey helped out. I didnt see his post about setting it up for steam. Although it is pitch black, and messages stick, dunno what happened. O.o
BUT IT LOADED NS, AND LOADED THE MAP.
