cus I dont know!
Hi, Im not exactly a new player (not that great either) but Ive got a few questions about Motion Tracking.

Ok

1. Can motion tracking detect you if your not moving?

1a. If not how long do you have to be still before you not detected?

2. Does motion tracking detect you if you are cloaked and walking?

3. (off topic) Can turrets see you when your cloaked and walking?

Im only asking cus ive been still around a corner or something and they still seem to know exactly where I am so....

Unless they was a haxor, but I doubt it.

    1. No.

1a. It's pretty instant, but because the marines saw your motion blip go somewhere and suddenly vanish, they still have a reasonable idea of where you are.

    2. No.

    3. EDIT: maybe. I'm not totally sure.

The player probably saw you move into position on the MT and so he could safely assume you were at that corner. Take this for an example. You are walking along and you see an MT blip moving towards the corner you are heading to. Then the blip switches off next to the corner. What would you do?

just a little more on 3: turrets CAN'T see you if you're cloaked... but an obs will reveal you, as will bumping into someone, and if you decloak for a split second you'll start getting shot at and won't re-cloak... but other than that, you can cloak walk right up to a tf's blind spot and start chomping away

very few intellegent commanders will leave a TF with an open side, much less leave a vital TF non-electrified. Good luck exploting that little loophole on a compitent server.

If the commander has made a small turret farm round a resource node (in a hive for example), you can usually find a spot in between the resource tower and turret factory where your not hit by any turrets.
