Leak In Hull 1

NOT Leak in hull 0!
I would like to repeat that the error I am having is a Leak in hull 1. Not a Leak in hull 0, the much more common one.

I have no idea what the cause or solution of this problem is. I am posting here because all the other sources I have looked at were not much help. Here is what ZHTL and many other sources had to say on the problem...

=== LEAK in hull 1 ===
=== LEAK in hull 2 ===
=== LEAK in hull 3 ===

You can generally ignore these, but there is a possibility that part of the world somewhere will either be solid where it shouldn't, or vice versa.

I would like to ignore the leak, but it its preventing my map from compiling. When I ran a point file (I'm using hammer 3.5 btw) the line ended up going through the center of a solid world brush.

I should probably also note that I am not getting a leak in hull 2 or 3, only in hull 1.

    steps to finding it...

    find the coordinates in the compiling box.

    try and find the coordinates on the map, then search around if any entities or solid shapes are being touched in the area, and if they are move them so they dont touch each other. then make sure there are no entities OUTSIDE the mapping region, like everything is inside where you are building everything.

    Another step to finding it:
    -Post it in the Mapping Help & Troubleshooting forum.

    the easyest way to find a leak is to load the point file. i dont mean the .pts i mean the .lin.

    In hammer theis is accomplished by using the mpas menu and load point file. it will ask if it should load the default pointfile and you should say no. Then select yourmap.lin and use that. the red end is the beginning and the blue end is the end.

    I know you guys mean well, but I already ran a point file. This is what confused me so much. In all my years of mapping I have run into many leaks, but never one that wasn't caused by a hole or entity brush on the outside.

    On another note, since when did the newbie mapping forum become the troubleshooting forum? I leave the forums for a week...

    Anyway, sorry for the trouble coil.
