i liked guybrushes model idea, but that is really not gonna work as a gun. no shoulder butt, or place for other hand. if it was just a little more thought out it would have my vote.
i knew i didnt have much of a chance of winning, but i was kinda surprised i only got 2 votes. and one of those are mine. i just didnt like seeing it with 0 votes.
well you shouldnt be voting on concept you should be voting on modeling skills

i voted on model. im not much into models with a bunch of higgely piggly jibber jabber excess crapola that doesnt need to be there. but im also not into models that are totally not feasible. ive seen a bullpup rifle with the ejection port on the left side used ingame as righthanded. think about that. its the things like that that i cannot grasp.
i liked cookies because it was halfway possible. cookies, i think, was a great rendition of the ak, much better than the one from counter strike. only problem is ejection port doesnt line up with the barrel. next in line would be guybrush, shocker, then funbags. funbags seemed like to much of a base model and done way to many times. its good for a beginner though. and guybrush left out some key things such as what i aforementioned. shockers was good but not very original, and couldve been done a little better since it was modelled after something already created in reality. after all these was the warspike. it does look like a pretty neat model, but doesnt meet my standards. huge barrel looks cool, but for why? also for the clip to go in at an angle it would be alot of unnecissary work for the inside of the gun. and that is a small clip for a big gun holding 125 bullets. also, modelled before. and a little better id say.
i really dont like coltranes, but i guess im against the croud. what can i say? barrel doesnt line up at all with the clip, and would go through the handle if it went to the clip. once again to much unnecisary work for the bullets to be straitened out from an angled clip. random extruded areas, an odd iron sight, a big pointy thing to jab yourself on and no case ejection port.
now im sorry if i wrongfully judged you because you didnt create your concept or something. these are modelled well, but i guess im not very good at judging a model by how good it was modelled unless each model is of the same concept. apples to oranges is what this is if you are judging by modelling skill and not model. some things are easy to model and make look good, some are harder.
i do not mean to come off as angry or biased, but this is what i thought when i saw these models. i voted for my own, because i think it deserved a vote. i wrote this post as constructive critisizm, not a flame or an effort to make mine look good. i reserve the right of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
IRT johndoe; except for my oversight on the barrel going through the handle, it really isnt that much of a deal to change the ammo from angled to streight. I'd elaborate but i dont feel like it.

i know it wouldnt be that hard now that i think about it, but it would be more work than its worth just to make it look neat. and it would probably cause alot of gun jamming. the pointed tips of the bullets would probably get lodged somewhere.

Now it's back and I hope I get to own everything that ain't human with it in the near future.
I voted for Coltrane because it's the most interesting to look at. However, there doesn't seem to be much of a straight line between the receiver and the muzzle. Yeah, yeah, nanites. Whatever. It could be just slightly better. Could benefit from a very deep, bass-full firing sound. Looks brutal. But not too frivolous. Good job. I like the perforated spike just in front of the grip. Looks just barely like the guns from Wonderful Days [the Korean animé, for reference; should be getting released in North America sometime soon because my friend's seen previews, whereas I've already actually seen it] enough to feel like it'd be held the same and give a similar menacing profile to the carrier, which I quite enjoyed [despite not really caring for their gun design itself; it was too simple and boxy, though I'm sure it'd work just fine].
The Warspike might've been interesting, but the grip is much too wide and doesn't look at all aesthetically molded to a human hand. Nor does it look practical. It's too long, too bulky, too heavy... No shoulder stock. Is it not supposed to have recoil? How do you brace it to keep it steady? Sure, I can envision it firing with an electro-magnetic chamber, but its magazine still seems small. Unless it takes tiny metal pelets and over-charges them with kinetic energy. If so, it could hold a thousand rounds and still be managable [insofar as it would or wouldn't be in its current state]. While it is an over-all interesting design, it's not quite my cup of tea. And there are wasted polies that could have been used in making the grip at least a little more comfortable. I know the concept design you're working from looks square, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't intended to be that square.
John, keep at it. You'll get there. Studying real-world firearms will be a big help to your future projects.
The rest... The Gronza seems pretty well-done, but I have little love for AK's and that's a bullpupped AK. You did good in leaving room for skinned detail instead of wasting polies, which the Warspike could benefit from.
The remixed M16... I don't know. Doesn't feel great. Some wasted polies, some lacking polies.
The SPAS12, well, eh. Not big on those. It seems pretty flat around the receiver. Could've done with some rounding here and there.
The AK... I guess it's alright, but I'm not interested by it. The modelling seems solid, but I'd have to look at the wireframe to know any better. With what seems to be a bunch of skill, I think you could've done something much, much more interesting.
oh well, im still going to make a killing once i release my M41A2. Don't need no stupid modeling contest

i had an idea. i think it would be helpful if in the next poll instead of people just saying i voted for this because of this, that they are requested to say something more along the lines of "i voted for this because of this, i didnt vote for that because of this, and that because of those, ..." and so on. it would help out the modellers as to give ideas and such.
hmmm... i dont think theres enough people to bring any of the other models up... i think the biohazard rifles gonna win... i voted for it because i think its original, and nicely detailed.
john doe's seemed to plain and pointy for me.
cookies is good, except i dont like those ak dealies.
funbags shotty was neat, but i have a shotgun like that and i think its better.
guybrushes, phycos, and shockers were all good, and i had a little trouble thinking of who to vote for, but, i think the biohazard rifle was the most original.
6john6doe6 - J-6 didn't vote for it because i like it
6john6doe6 - Minigun seems plain and un-finished, needs a little more rounding and details
CoolCookieCooks - AK47 didn't vote for it because i like it
Coltrane - BioHazard Rifle didn't vote for it because i like it
Funbags - Spas12 seemed a little too much poly wasted in areas that weren't important
Guybrush - Gronza didn't vote for it because i like it.
Phyco - Warspike didn't vote for it because i like it
S][ocker - Remixed m16 this one is is just odd, i mean, it's great, it's clean, it's just that there's some parts of the model that i would like to see a lil more detail on, and areas i would like to see a lil less detail on.
as soon as i figure out what i want to give out as prizes, they will ship out tomarrow morning, along with a new poll when i get back from school. (~15 hours from this post_
