Err, how is that 3000 polys? Not much detail on it.

:\ from the barrel to end of stock, is 1 big cylinder, i could probably cut a couple hundred off by cutting some of them off and snapping some vertices..

dude, have 12 sides Maximum on your cylinders, on the handle things, they look like they have 20 or 30 sides

6 sides is generally enough to get a smooth cylinder, unless its a particularly large one, where the edges will show at either end <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

yeah.. its kinda high poly ^^

Ive never really been a fan of the H&K "mp5" style of guns, but with a little work, this should come out good

its not an mp5 variant at all,its part of HK's squad weapon series.

if youre referring to my comment, to clarify, i didnt say that it was a varient of the mp5... im saying that a lot of h&k's guns are all in the same style as the mp5.. ie coloration, shape, design. and that i dont like that design

It's H&Ks modern style, the Navy trigger group and their patented roller-locking delayed-blowback system ... meh ... so they all look like Mp5s ...

And how the heck did that end up with 3000 polies? No offense, but the best Mp5 Model I've considered up to date is around 2500 poligons, and it's got every detail possible in it... and yes, I DO KNOW IT IS AN HK-21.

it's ok for a basic model. But way to poly-icious. it's not worth saving though, You should restart using low poly techniques.

2436 polies, fixed the front area of all the stacks.

too much. restart the model i suggest. any area that you have four-6 polys can be done in 2. try it.

hell no dude, it looks really good now with low polies, i put a lot of detail in it and its at 2400
