Granted, the name Myrtle is a proper noun and pilfer's 'f' pronunciation depends on dialect, but it's something.
I'm never heard anyone say it pilver or silfer...on the Easter Seaboard, Western Seaboard, south or midwest...maybe people in England do it...
If you allowed two words you could go for still fur or something...heh. Why don't we just replace silver with argentum...that way we can rhyme it with things, whenever we want (while we're at it, we can make Gold aurum and Mercury hydrargyrum. Then silver technically rhymes with lots of stuff. They can all be incorporated into "UltimaGeckos Big Book of Words You'll Never Really Need to Use if You Flip Burgers"
...Do I win [albeit it through messed up logic and all]?
[edit]bah, if Myrtle works, so would Wilbur for silver...my dreams of revising the English language are ruined ]
