<div class="IPBDescription">Jetpacks and Catalysts</div> Just played this with a mate, and I've got to say its awesome.

Set sv_cheats on on a server, and type "giveupgrade 39" and "highdamage", get weapons lvl 3 and bind a key to catalysts.

Then let havoc commence! You can build Ip's or you can just hit f4, f1 each time you die, enjoy!

I didn't know whether to post this in general discussion or Off Topic, if this is suitable for GD could a mod please move it there where it'll get more reads, thanks <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If you download the map co_sillyv3, you can play MvM combat without any sv_cheats nonsense. The major problem is that team 2 cannot weld their cc, but both the map author and a guy working on an MvM plugin are trying to solve that glitch.

    There's two plugins which fix the weld issue. <a href='http://www.modns.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=414' target='_blank'>Here</a> (metamod) and <a href='http://www.modns.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=413&st=15&#entry3079' target='_blank'>here</a> (AMX).

Also, this catpack/jp game is nothing compared to capture the gorge. Nothing.

That would be the one where everyone groups around the gorge to make sure he doesn't escape, right? Essentially making a cage out of your selves to cage the gorge. Ususally followed with the drawing of your knives <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Used to do that, but all the new people that have come don't even want to play that. They always end up going votemap 3 for some weird reason....

Well, no, it was just a subliminal message for <a href='http://www.modns.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=424' target='_blank'>this</a>. :/

Now THAT sounds interesting <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> I wonder how it will fare with players though, because there aren't any servers near me that play MvM maps <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I just played on co_sillyv3. I don't like that map. But the catpack/jetpack deathmatch you guys were playing seems fun and fast paced.

I say we get a free-for-all MvM deathmatch combat mode (with a server option to have constant catpacks).

4 Team co_ map. That'd be so sweet. 2 alien teams, 2 rine teams. Would finally justify a server having way too many damned people!

The Nsarmslab.com servers currently have marine vs marine maps with the problems above fixed. For up to 12v12 marine combat come to our server.

Note: Our Co_mm_ maps will only work on our server, and are exclusive to our server.

I don't know if I like this idea. I mean aside from the cool maps, if we have a version or whatever of MvM then I'm afraid that NS would turn out just like anyother 1st person shooter game. It would end up being just people fighting other people, like in UT or in Red Orchestra. I think that with the choice of Marines or Aliens is what makes it so unique. But this is just my opion, what do I know?

There's a lively thread in the Mapping forum dealing with this.
