Lan Party

A group of friends hold LAN parties every few months, about 10 of us. A fav game was (and is) NS v2. We want to play v3, but I can't see how this can be done, because each pc would have to be connected to the net to launch STEAM? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

All the copies of HL are genuine, and can be updated on the net before we have the LAN party, but how can we have a LAN party? At a push one of the pc's could be connected to the net, but not all of them

Any help/suggestions welcome

hmm, I thought if you start steam in offline mode you didnt hafta worry about having them connected to auth. Im not sure though, someone should verify this.

yah, just make sure that every one has steam uptodate before coming and you will be a ok <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> (you can try this now by turning off your internet and then turning on steam)
