Take that back!
Ricer coming from a Irish car company whose owner trafficked coke to keep the company alive? I think not <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Weight has nothing to do with it?
That answers my question, doesn't it?
I was quoting the film, not making a genuine statement about the weight <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
My '90 Buick Century's speedometer only goes to 85.

Ricing a car is basically modding it for no real performance gain. Like putting a window and cathode lights in your case. People do it to make crappy cars look fast, usually. Fire decals, R-type logos, huge spoilers.
too bad most of the buttons are probably useless......
When it does, you're going to see some real ****.
Times like this when I wish I had $30,000 to throw at something... and I wish I was of legal driving age.
And no... a ricer is not neccessarily a show car. Some of them are quite speedy (those stupid trumpet-exhausts were originally intended to improve the exhaust profile). The ones that LOOK fast but aren't are 'show cars'. They're all show.
On the other side of the coin, a car that doesn't look too peppy but can crank along is a 'sleeper'. Actually have a friend who picked up a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (that's the model with a supercharger, factory-standard) who's going to be getting standard GP (non-supercharger) badges for it, just so he can go and submit his car, and wipe the floor with his competition... or wipe the smile off the high-end boys' faces when they watch him passing by.
Which it honestly will... I've sat in that thing when he's floored it with sport shift turned on. Felt like I was laying on the seat back, instead of sitting on the seat. Cool as all hell.
