nothing more frustrating than having a comm do something like research armor to level 3 and yell "WHY DONT WE HAVE HEAVY ARMOR YET?"
also i suggest watching other people comm for a bit to get an idea of their "build orders" and strategies.
also, please tell your team you're new at comming.

So they can eject you at any opportunity and ignore your waypoitns due to lack of confidence?
There are two sides to the arguement. (Stupid phrase, why would there be an arguement if it was one-sided?) I still think it is best to tell people that you are new; that way they can decide themselves if they dont mind letting you comm, and will also tend to be a lot more helpful.
Still bear in mind that some servers are not very new-comm friendly. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> Still, I wish you luck in your endeavours. well i dont mean for you to rush the cc and go "IM NEW WHAT DO I DROP?"
at least get the basics down and have an idea of what to do first
if nobody is comming, tell your team "im kinda new at comming but i'll give it a shot" or "i'll comm but im not that great". at least give them a hint; that way (hopefully) some people will give you pointers and strategies. that generally is your best shot without getting immediately kicked out.
it can be somewhat helpful ^_^
