<div class="IPBDescription">Read Title :D</div> This is my first ever concept.

it's called the G43 Corona .45 and is a standard quasi-futuristic submachine gun. I think it'd be very cool as a LMG. You could even a tact light if u want to have that whole "i have a torch on my gun" thing.

Would anyone like to model it?

    Some ideas for you, it looks great! But, try using darker colours on the gun, i mean, you can use the same sorta colours as now, but just darken them down a bit, and also change the background too! Purple, brown, or another dark colour thats easy to watch for hours.

    Modelers has to watch the concept for hour after hour when modeling it, and..
    Its not nice to watch a bright picture too long, aye? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Not that its required, but its just a couple of ideas for ye! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    You should really continue with the concepting!

    Not bad...not bad at all....a few small issues, but not really worth mentioning...

    nice detail, nice attention to feature....good stuff man...

    Mephmage....whaddya' think?...another top Paint'er to add to our ranks? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Very nice concept, especially since this is your first! The colours on concept are actually good, all the different areas are well-defined and all the necessary detail is visible. Also keep the background white (if some modelers prefer other colours they can recolor it in a few seconds). But you should try to make your concepts so that the ejection port is visible also. That's some detail I really would like to have visible. Also is there any kind of cocking mechanism that modelers would have to know of?

    uh... the ejection port would be on the right side on a *real* gun...

    Because I think you wouldn't like to have those ejected shells flying around your head when your're fireing the gun, would you? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    lol, on most guns it is...but it's interesting to note that on the <a href='http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg57-e.htm' target='_blank'>Calico SMG</a>, tha ejection port was on tha bottom...weirdest thing i've ever seen..

    weird... then the shell bursts right through your boots.. right? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Yes, I know pretty well where the ejector port is thank you <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    I meant that he would simply draw the ejector port, either in the gun itself (rightside view) or next to the gun as he did with the sights. I know ejector port isn't going to be seen ingame, but it's nice to know it's there.

    nope, it wasn't really a good idea...but it was imaginative...moving tha ejector port to tha right side like normal guns was a smart idea....lol

    I decided to try what this would look like in 3d, so I whipped up a quick model.

    Lookin good status

    Nikus: I'm glad you drew in what the sights should look like. Many times the modeler has to guess!

    The downward ejection isn't a bad idea. Several firearms do it, including the P90 and M-240

    yes downward ejection is a good thing (trust me i know) but i have to say the clip is umm..... tooo long get a drum or a thicker clip!

    Yeah, i was thinking of perhaps rounding the clip like the G44 <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69237' target='_blank'>Linkeh</a>. But then again, it does look pretty sexeh.

    Spline extrudes + turn to poly + little adjustments = quick model (< half an hour)
