Yeah, it's all relative, but max windows setting and max HL setting is insanely sensitive no matter what mouse you use. I know it's possible to do just fine with sens that high, but you will be better using something lower <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Ive got 2 mouse sensivitys, for aliens i like a higher one to bunnyhop , i use 10, and for marines i use 8.5 , well ive always played with high sens, but i know people who use 25 of sensivity
sensitivity is related with your windows system and settings. ie: which windows you using? winxp or win98? its different. and with accl or not? its important too.

Your raw sensitivity number is meaningless, as so many others have stated. If you want others to know your mouse sensitivity, give it in terms of degrees per inch or centimeter.
[edit] Although admittedly, this won't work if you have mouse acceleration enabled. [/edit]

not totally true, since on the options for half-life page with sensitivity, 1 is far left, 20 is far right. True that doesnt account for windows acceleration, but its a lot more accurate to say, 20 with acceleration than, couple inches to the left on the slider bar.
I use 20 btw, i dunno with or without acceleration. I used to use 13 in TFC for better accuracy, but bumped it up to 20 for ns, and have alwaysyed used it that high since i started playing ns a year and a half ago.
12 or more, because i'm a twitcher. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
[i wonder how high sensitivity can go w/ the acceleration mouse option in control pannel ... ? ]
Mines at 17 because I love them 180 kills ohh so much, and 3 years of cs and ns with it. I'm used to it and its like a glove now. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

For instance, my sensitivity is 360 degrees/inch.
I would like to introduce everyone to the excellent line of mice usually known as the boomslang... or more recently the boomer <model here> by Razer.
They have a really nice feature of allowing you to change sensitivity on the fly (on the hardware level). I use a setting of 2 in HL and most other games, but I am able to jump from a low sensitivity for sniping and accu-shooting to an incredibly high sensitivity for movement/reaction control as fast as I can scroll the mouse wheel. Since I use this feature quite frequently it doesn't really help to say what my senesitivity is at any given time because it is likely to change in a minute.
Comments
So I turned it down to 10, but then when I went lerk I couldn't turn fast enough...
So I now have 5 binds (or 6, I forget) =D
They correspond to sentivity 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 13, 15... or something like that. Works quite well =)

(default is 5 if you didn't know)
