Yeah, erm... dun try to model a 3d object from a single 2d picture <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I've already re-worked the arms, I hated em myself (they are more built now)
Knee pads getting re-worked in a large scale view (so I can show the detail better)
Helmate and Visor = large scale view re-draw as well
Oh, and like I said, the quality of the scan SUCKS...
taking a 600 DPI 10x8 picture and shrinking it to around 4x2.5 at 100 DPI simply does NOT look good... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
*sighs* I need to get / learn photoshop
*looking again at Onos' model*
Hmm... you can see where I started on detail (aka, the shoulder pads and feet) as he put em in (yes, that is sorta what the feet and shoulder armor should look like)
Tho, the chest plate = sunk in a little, and rounded ridges to allow for full bend movement. The waist = each plate is able to slide over/under it's neighboring ones, to allow for full, 360* movement in any direction. (including twisting)
Basicly, this is like a modern day, bio-neural network, nanite-servo enhanced knight armor
Oh, and Onos, the legs are NOT round... they are actualy weirdly octagonal I believe it is (they have 8 sides, 1 front, 2 slope to side, 2 side, 2 SMALL slope to back, and one larger than front side back plate)
Last edit for the night:
If someone wanted to take a serious crack at making this, it would really really help me see what needs re-proportioned. Onos' quick-model showed me just how HORRIBLY sized the legs were compared to the upper body! UGH! I didn't know they were THAT small!
