These shots of the hallway have had the following changes made :
    1. More blu light underneath.
    2. A large pipe the aliens can use as shortcut.
    Any advice is welcome.

This room really needs detailing and architecture work. I also know it needs blue light underneath. Any ideas or advice is welcome.

This is one of the elbow connecting rooms. Probobly needs more light. this room lead directly to the hive. My next step.

BTW, I realize that the marines have to walk single file on the catwalks. Thsi is near the aliens, so I figured it would give them a biiiig advantage. The main reason for this is cause I want the bulk of the fighting to occur in the sanctuary, which I will be redoing. Yes, I do need a new tex for the catwalk.

I like that alot!  A little more detail may be good but it looks like a sewer system which typically wouldn't have much.  The only thing I notice is that it doesn't look like you used any light_spot entities.  I think they would have a great effect in pic 3.  Keep up the good work!

Yeah, spotlights would definitely be a great thing to add in any of these areas.  Also, the railings in the first pic in particular seem incredibly large.  Other than that, I really like what you've done.

Thanks much to all. Yeah, I crouched for that shot. Theyre exactly as tall as a marine to jump down. Im still contemplating whether I want the subfloor to be available to the marines or more of an alien only thing. I'll change those point lights to spot lights. Thanks for the advice and complements.

It's quite hard for me to make out what's what, but from what I can see that catwalk room looks awesome. Very original. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

BTW, make sure that if you change the point lights to spot lights, that you have an ample source of other light in the room too. I'm not saying make it bright... But you will need to be able to make out things and tell where you are walking. Spot lights alone will make a room impossible to navigate, and unusable really.

    Anyway, great work!

Great concept.  I'd love it to be a lot brighter, have a lot more glowy thingies and more contrast though (I'm really helpful, aren't I?).

*Note to self: Put lots of little glowy thingies in map.*

This commuynity and the mod developers are great. I have to say I can't think fo a single negative to Ns and its community. Thanks for the advice. I do some mapping later or tomorrow. I add glowy thingies and stuff.

yep add those glowy things and make it a bit brighter, could be cuz i'm on a different computer, but they seem very dark 2 me, and again i would change that watertexture. Make it some sort darkblue-ish kind of water, maybe add some spots where water comes dripping down the pipes or the cieling, some steam?

If you have any experience with making animated textures, try one for the water that's very dark (black with dark grey waves and few white sparkles/hilights).

very nice....reminds me of some sort of aquarium...makes me think jaws is gonna leap out of the water... <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->)

quick question tho....have you got -32bpp in your command line for half-life? cause the pictures look a little ...erm....washed (not sure if thats the right word)..aside from that, good job!
