The lead coder left, so i dont know if there will be any big updates or what is going on. But what ever, go enjoy the beta 1.0!

I want to play with people instead of playing by myself tho...
The release will be up in approx. 60 minutes, so please be patient for just an hour more ;D
For now we can only provide a Windows build. I hope the remaining team will care about a Linux dedicated server build, because I won't.
With this release Slanny and me will retire from the Half-Life mod scene.

Don't you love it when mod teams are just ever-so happy and up-beat?
It's definately fun, shame about there being only one map though.
Despite this a thumbs up from me. And I was only playing by myself, once some servers come up for this baby it's going to be some hot property methinks...

who needs team mates when you can just plop down like 6 turrets around the one part where you need some one guarding your back? (first hack point)
Who wants to host an NS community server for this?
Has an awful lot of potential, but need more maps regardless...

And wasn't this supposed to have music? I know I saw the installer put mp3's somewhere, but there aren't any listed keys to start it.

I think it has alot of potential, too bad it's practically dead.

There are tons of graphical bugs, the reload key doesn't work half of the times you press it, there is the whole "game won't start for seemingly no reason" thing, the enemies that sometimes just stop and do nothing for a few minutes at a time, the shotgun sometimes missing an enemy completely when you fire into its face at point blank range (might just be the blood sprites not appearing).
As for the graphics, there are the bugs, the low poly monsters, and the weapons that all look the same.
Maybe I'll warm up to it, but the state it's in is ridiculous when you consider the develepment time.
Maybe I'll get some, by some I mean all I can find, and run a game tomorrow.

It has some potential apart from the fact that I keep forgetting how to spell it, let alone say it. Its a shame there are hardly any maps too, and the aliens are weak.
The horrible Low-poly Monsters can be fixed with model replacements. (I've heard of improving performance with low poly stuff but I've seen more curves on the original Half-Life scientists) and more maps can be made.
Its a shame some of the team have just released it and left. Its like they got bored, released an unfinished game and went on to do other things.
It does work under steam. I know Liku was using it to play last night (I joined the server but was too late, server was shut down about 3 mins after I joined.) I occasionally get hl.exe crashes when playing it, though.
And I cannot find any finished maps in that forum. Maybe it's just me, but all that's there is a load of screenshots (and I think I saw 1 beta map release last night)
Oh, and about the pistol. I unloaded one into a small alien. You know, the most common one. It didn't die. 80 rounds and it DIDN'T die.
Is there any better mirror than fileplanet yet, I can't freaking stand fileplanet?

Nothing impressed me about this game.
its fuggly, its got one map, the weapons are silly.
As far as I can tell, its a bad co op game. IF you want co op go play sven....
Sadly, there's nothing "Co-op" about Sven other than being on the same team. You just kill whatever you see not caring what happens to your team. The RE: TA is the only map that I've actually seen teamwork used in, especially on Insane. I only have Sven for the RE: TA map series, it's a shame.
Chaingun not firing when in 100+ ping
2nd grenade fire sound looping (fix with stopsound)
Pistol too weak
Chainblade suxage/anims dont fire
aliens need to move faster
turrets need to be more effective
But their all small bugs, i really like the mod and those should be easy fixes.

I recall that the Paroxysm community's main reason that Paroxysm was better than NS was that "NS will never be released and will be buggy."
