New Map Request

Hello fellow gamers! I would like to request a map to be made that i have had in the works for a while. I would do it myself but i dont have a clue how to. BAsicly the map is three rooms, two outer and one inner. The outer rooms are the spawns for the marines and for the aliens respectively and the single inner room contains all the res nodes for the entire map (minus the single node in both spawns) I thougth this one up after watching the war for res in current games.

    Awww. Cmon guys, think about it! The entire round is spent fighting over control over res! A lot of people ive talked to about this thinks it would be a great idea for a map! At least give it a try on the pub servers! Doesnt even have to be detailed! Like i said, two rooms connected to a central hub with all the res nodes for the map via hallways.

    there are already about 73 maps like this, and they ALL suck!!!

    Here's how what you're describing would play out:

    1) Both teams go into the central room, trying to capture resnodes.
    2) Neither team manages to hold any res node aside from the one in their base for enough time to be cost effective.
    3) Aliens manage to get enough res together to field some fades/oni
    -or-
    3) Marines get enough res to field a squad of hmg/grenades, possibly with some heavy armor.
    4) Whoever accomplishes #3 the first is the winner, and everyone breathes a big sigh of relief as they go on to a map that makes some sense.

    j/k. At the least if you're going to do it, make the central area sort of mazelike so it's not impossible for aliens to even enter the room.

    Thanks Xyth! And i would make the map myself if a had even the slightest clue on how! That way, its me how gets chewed out if it turns out bad (and by the looks of it, you people prob think it will <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) Cant wait to see it!

    Why have the 3 rooms? why not have everyone spawn next to each and called the map ns_instagib? why not have no spawns at all, that way no-one has to play it? Why not uninstall hammer from your computer so that we don't have to put up with maps like this anymore..

    Keep the spawns, just make them spawn overtop of the Kill-Box.
