Hammer Compiling Error,steams=headache To Compile

I think its having a problem finding my map but im not sure since i never compiled for steam and havent mappped in a looong time.

    You'll have to move your map source to another folder, like C:\ns or something. The period (.) in the folder confuses the compiler, so it thinks that the folder is actually the file. So yeah, you'll have to move it.

    Could you tell us why it didn't work? Errors? "didn't work" is just not detailed enough for us to help you.

    My main prob during the compile part it cant find the map and in the path it looks for it calls my steam e-mail the map like ; user@internet.bsp.

    It reads my Steam ID as a bsp.

    Yes, as I said, you'll have to move the map source from your Steam directory to someplace else. Did you read my first post?

    Indeed you must, just make a folder in C:/ or on desktop and it will work fine when you try to compile from there (all custom wads must be there too I think)
