If you have a question, it is generally a good idea to use the search feature to look for an existing topic rather than starting another.
Edit:
Ah, you just slipped that post in there. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Yeah, most servers are beta 4a now. You will need that exact version to play on them.
I dunno, did you?
Are you sure you installed it correctly? Look in your SteamApps\Half-life\NSP folder. Is there another NSP folder there?
If so, move the contents up one level. Ie, everything in
SteamApps\Half-life\NSP\NSP
move to
SteamApps\Half-life\NSP
If that does not work, reinstall beta4 and 4a. If that does not work, try a different server.
That will work. There's no other possible cause of the dll mismatch. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam
3) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1
4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4
5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a
Search your HDD for a folder called nsp.
if you have more than one you messed up. try again.
if you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.
If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.
There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers. Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life
Note: This is a file stored on my desktop because I have to use it so many times.
when u say it wasn't full of stuff do you mean it didn't have very many files in it?
if so copy that one into the nsp folder that has lots of stuff and click yes to replace the files.
