<div class="IPBDescription">Until i think of a name..</div> Basic story = science vessel took in a "rather strange" specimin collected from an uncharted planet, and within 50 hours the ship had been compromised by the kharaa. Marines, you start in a small research lab. Aliens, you start in the observation area, where the specimen was taken.

    Lovely looking screenshots amigo. That sky map looks a bit lifeless though, perhaps something of higher quality or something more vibrant would be better?

    Nice, just one thing on the last pic: change the wall texture to something else, and that window in the top could use a trim texture around it.

    lillbrorsan: unusual like...... underground? (co_core, ns_mineshaft) or maybe something underwater? (co_posieden). Hmm, let's see, we've got maps in the air, maps on the ground, maps in the ground, and maps under the sea. I don't see too much else in the way of locations for originality.

    1) Think.
    2) Post.

    Try that order from now on.


    Spacer: Nice work. The grating within grating on the first pic looks kinda wierd though. I'd suggest replacing the main texture with something that doesn't look like it should be see-through..... Also would be cool if one of those grates had a hole in it for skulks to climb between levels. Also first pic the trim on those skylights looks kinda wierd. Maybe it's just that I know what texture it is, but it looks out of place/ unrealistic. Other than that bit, nice work. Yellgrey is a hard set to make look good, nice job doing it.

    you know... that last pic, with the windows... i have a problem with the side panels for those windows. that texture isn't even remotely arranged to look like trim around a window. you could use the yellow part, or a nondescript grey part. or you could go with an actual trim texture. doesn't really matter what it is, so long as it's tasteful. but seriously, change that.

    Lovely map you got there. Only thing I would ahcnge is the opacity of the glass. lower it a litte so it is more transparant.

    My personal opinion is that this makes glass look more like ... glass in the hl engine <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    the reason that this map's set on a spaceship is because that's pretty much all NS.wad and NS2.wad allow (less so with NS2.wad, but i can't do triangle terrain as yet for rock faces).
    anyway, i'm compiling at the moment, i added a new room (no name as yet), and implemented some bastish floodlights in lower reactor obs and the new room. they're not super super bright like bast's were, but they break up the lighting to make for a nice rushed feel, like the marines hurridly had to improvise with the lights.

    point thingies: yes, i know that there's a wall at the end of lower reactor obs and in the new room. these are just placeholders til i get the next area done. Yes, i know the area underneath the lower pipes is extremely dark, that's because there will be vents with red light coming from them there. Finally yes, i know the area connecting upper reactor and the new room is also very dark, but that's because i accidently deleted the lights <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> SO DEAL.

    Nice, but in that "new area" with the blue lights along the walls and floor, the sprites look all weird. Either make them bigger or move them closer to the light brush.
