Last day,I play ns 4.0a.I use the skulk and fade.When i attack the marine,the marine could one shot kill me with shotgun=.=.I ask him why you can kill me one shot?I have 30 amnor!He say he can use cheater trainer or damger lv3.......This thing i don't care.But the worst thing is he change to HMG...and he shot me five ammo in my foot.I was dead and so angry he use the cheater.But he say he didn't!
Can i ask how many HMG damger?(In 3.0 i know is 30 damger 1 ammo)

well,with wep3 and a hmg,a skulk pretty much dies on contact,considering the spray atleast 3 shots are gonna hit if 1 hits

Try working on your English a bit..
Anyhow, lvl 0 hmg does 20 damage/bullet, lvl 3 would do 20*1.3 which gives us 26 damage/bullet. A carapace skulk has 130hp if you convert the armor to pure hp wihout bothering the neglection of some damage (20% or whatever it is). So yes you die in about 5 bullets. There is a pretty good damage simulator but I forgot the url to it.

A lv 0 shotgun can kill a cara skulk in one hit.

shotgun damage is 160-180-200-220 i think
doesn't make much sense but i saw it in some server where it shows how much damage every attack deals

Shotgun does 17 damage per pellet, 10 pellets. 170 damage. If all ten pellets hit, Cara3 skulk = dead.

[EDIT:] Just looked at that damage calculator. Pretty nifty. I stand corrected. While the shotgun does indeed to 17 damage per pellet, you only need 7 pellets to hit to kill a Cara3 Skulk (so says the calculator.) For some reason I was thinking that a Skulk had Lerk HP / armor. Hehe, sorry.

About the one-shot marine : I would dare speculated he was your daddy, and you his little bee-yotch. But thats just an educated guess.

A level 0 shotgun shoots 10 pellets. Each pellet deals 17 damage for a total of 170 damage and a very dead skulk considering all pellets hit it. Having the extra 20 armor saves you from two pellets (17+17=over 20[which is the plus to armor that a carapace skulk gets]).

I thought the HMG dealt 20 damage a bullet not 30?

The HMG does do 20 damage per bullet at lvl 0 weps.

Skulks are fast and small. Use it to your advantage to not get shot (many other topics on the subject). If you run straight at a marine with some firepower, you are going to die.

The problem is, of course, separating the "cheaters and hackers" from "people who just pwn you repeatedly and you whine about it"

HMG does 18 damage a bullet now... down from 20. It's still a friggen beast.

As a skulk...use your mobility is a good idea since shottie only have 8 shot.

By the way i mean cheaters and hackers only not people that are really good and keep on owning me.
