and tell me if you think hes cheating? I don't want to call a very good player a cheater without good cause. Personally I suspect a wallhack, purely because of one (lucky?) kill near the hive, toward the end.

    I haven't viewed the file, but I would say that if it is only one kill that makes you suspicious then it was probably just luck. It's when you get 5+ lucky kills in a row that you should really be suspicious.

    I don't know what Majin said, but I'm gonna assume it was along the lines of "No talk of possible h4x". The link's not working for me, so I don't know exactly how you set it up, especially if you did or did not hide or reveal the player's name. If you did, and it's just a clip of him/her playing, then I guess it shouldn't be against the rules....Just like that other thread showing examples of what different kinds of h4x looked like right?

    nope, no cheating whatsoever. whats with ppl being anxious to call cheater... its like a witch hunt.. I ran into it the first time this morning, they forced me to leave and turn CD on, and rejoin.

    get a demoplaying program, or open any game thru steam and type either "play demoname.dem" or "exec demoname.dem" or something like that in console

    Place the .dem into your nsp folder. Go into Natural Selection, get into the console, and type in playdemo <demoname>

    awesome. no, he is not cheating, because it reminds me of me. Especially when I wasted an entire clip of my LMG on TWO skulks, and they didnt die, and then I did a jump OVER them, and unloaded an entire pistol clip into both of them, and they died. A marine guy on the communication just goes "OHHHH MAN! NIIIIICE! NIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!"

    Anyway, I think it's really hard to tell for sure when someone is cheating in this game (as in using h4x) compared to other games because:

    1) There are ways of determining where exactly the enemy is, because each alien makes such a unique walking sound. If you turn up your speakers REALLY loud you don't even need mt, and if you have surround sound or a good pair of headphones it's even better

    2) There are game-supported wall h4x (sof and mt) so a real wall h4x can slip through unnoticed.

    yeah i've seen real hackers and its really obvious that that are cheating, this guy had 50 for 0 kills on de_dust (yeah i play cs <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) and kept killing everyone with one shot ak to the head kills.

    Actually I'm quite glad to say that the amount of people hacking to look skilled is very low. The majority of the hackers are griefers who turn autoaim and autoshoot on and turn the aimbot FOV up to 360, just so they can ruin your day.

    Edit - Forgot to say this observation is about NS.

    Thanks for the input guys. I've been playing ns since it was released, this guy game after game completely and utterly owned everything that came near him. After about 5 minutes of play his score would be like 20-1, which kind of made me suspicious.

    This is why I didn't want to call him an outright cheater, its not fair to him if he isn't.

    Anyway, I'm gonna keep my eyes open, next time I see him, he won't see me cos I'll have cloak/focus <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    If he's good then odds are he can see cloakers, a lot of good players have practiced that. Don't be surprised when he blasts your cloak/focus butt with his shotgun.
